Red Cloud is a principal reason the Lakota entered the 1868 treaty. We have his song and we still have his direct descendant Chief Oliver Red Cloud (seated in wheelchair holding mic) Truly Blessed he is here, we are still here.

This Is a Sad Song
He was cremated and sprinkled all over the the black hills.
I was trying to tell my white friend we don;t point with our hands because it is rude and some people get really offended by it.
😢❤ who is stepping up who is the next man to continue the movement. Another great warrior...
Alguien que sepa la letra, porfavor... 🙏🏿🙏🏿
I am so glad to see my people united with the native indigenous american people, maori and native tribes in America have a lot in common. My mother would have been happy to see these videos of unity with the American Indigneous Tribes. I am white too and proud of being white and polynesian maori, tahitian descent and born and raised in hawaii and raised in a hawaiian culture that I love very much too. Peace to the world and unity, John Tere'moana Green.
We Filipinos also do that.
Very Powerful, unleashing the power of the spirit world as Sitting Bull did with the Sundance.
Very wise man RIP
In my opinion the word INDIANS in..." LAST REAL INDIANS " should be changed to INDIGENOUS as INDIAN was a name given to the native / INDIGENOUS people of America by the colonialists. Kia ora.
You know, I'm an old man know, been a Marine and 30+ years in law enforcement, have grown closer and closer to my LORD JESUS. Wouldn't it be great if we could put all the crap aside and just love one another as family? We ALL are GOD'S children; therefore we are all brothers and sisters in CHRIST JESUS....and no I'm not smokin' dope, i just see the world imploding, and the only answer is JESUS! Blessings to all!
Although this is a positive message, This comment has nothing to do with the video. God bless...
I’m cracking up , brings back memories. My great grandmother used to do the lip pointing. If I asked “Mau mau is there something that I can get for you? A head shake and a lip point meant just a glass of water or something or if she added a lip point and asked“ your grand mother is cooking something. ?” meant go ask if it was ready then, go fix her a plate, set it at the table , come and help her to the table . But just the lip point meant go to her room and sneak her snuff box from under her bed without getting caught by my grandmother and if I got busted it was on me because she never actually asked me to get it and I would also have to sneak it back.
POWERFUL, IM PROUD TO BE MAORI. KIA KAHA ❤️⚪🖤💯
Kia Ora as a pakeha kiwi I'm proud to be from Aotearoa NZ too. We live in paradise with the greatest people's in the world.
R.I.P. Mr Russel Means
Can someone explain his ' Columbus Must Die ' speech. To be more specific: Scotland is one of the three most violent countries in the world. That'll be the country which is home to the largest art festival on the planet. You mean that Scotland? The home of Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, etc. That Scotland? The country which gets flooded by foreign students looking for a world class education. You mean that Scotland? Unlike Russel I actually live in Scotland. What -the-hell was the moron on about?! Seriously?!! If it was violent then , every Sunday, the Highlands wouldn't be able to - effectively - shut-down due to it being the Sabbath. Hmmm. You would think the prat would have learnt his facts....no? Violent?! It is places like Palestine/ the Middle East; Asia - especially Pakistan as well as umpteen muslim countries ...and Eastern European countries as well as ...African countries who are in the news due to mass murder, etc. So his accusation against Scotland made no sense. It was, and is still, baseless.
Where did they rest him
RIP Russel. Check out his youtube channel for awesome videos of knowledge. Great send off by the boys in the video
Rest in peace, great hero of the Lakota! And hero to mankind.

I am European woman, been living in the US for the last 15 years. Last year a friend of mine was telling me about her "sweat lodge" experience and she was trying to talk me into going. I was not interested especially after she told me she had "massive headaches" and felt sick after an hour in the sweat lodge. My initial gut reaction was to feel scared . She told me how she was wrapped in a bed sheet, soaked in sweat and sitting next to super hot coals, and hardly being able to breath, and rocking herself back and forth in the rhythm of the drums trying anything to "GET out of her mind", because she said "her skin was red hot from the heat of the coals, and she was so uncomfortable that she was hitting her thighs with her palms and trying to hang on..!" I think when she said that I WAS very scared.I was asking her:" Okay Why were you covered in a sheet? , she said:" Oo trust me you be glad you have a sheet over you because it is so hot and you be sitting around hot coals and hot steam be coming out hitting you in the face and legs you be thankful for the sheet..!" I was more than alarmed when she told me that..! She was really trying to get me to do it for some reason, but I start asking questions LIKE OKAY: I am 34 years old I am a white woman, in good health but I don't tolerate heat and tend to have low blood pressure and have fainted before when out hiking in the heat. So lets say I go inside the sweat lodge what happens if I faint during the "sweat lodge" sessions? She said: OO Well if you faint, you faint..!" Then I asked her: So nobody would carry me outside if I faint? She said NO, so then I asked well can I leave if I feel sick? She said:" No, you're not allowed to leave during the session, you will have to wait till it is over, then she said:" the drumming will help you get you out of "your" mind so to have a spiritual experience and rather than think of how uncomfortable your body is you focus on tolerance and trying to reach this state of being out of your mind.,. I said: Well if they let me have water inside..,maybe I can do it, Can I have water inside? She said: NO WAY, water is not allowed inside ! The more questions I asked the more scared I was and I didn't want to do it. I don't know why she was pushing me to do it. But after I listened to her description and her experience of the sweat lodge I was THINKING OO Jesus Christ, this is MADNESS, NO way I am doing this. This sounds crazy, it doesn't sound right to me..! As a white woman in my 30s I didn't think this was going to help me any in my spiritual growth. Then during the Birthday party celebration at one point she brings this WHITE man with long white hair and says: Hope, this is David, he is the organizer of the sweat lodge ..! I was polite and said Hello and introduced myself to him, but then I quickly turned my back on him and start talking with somebody else. He got the message I wasn't interested. I am glad I didn't go. I'm happy I asked many questions and made my own conclusions. There is was reason for me to take part in such thing. Had I gone now I realize that this could lead to me being hurt. So happy I used my judgement and common sense and didn't go. I have no udea why my friend had done the sweat lodge experience, never asked her. Didn't know why anyone who is white did this at all. love Native Americans and their cultures, and traditions and spiritual practices and I admire their way of life. I love how close to nature they are, but white people trying to take bits and pieces of the Native American traditions and do things they don't know and understand that I don't think it is right. People pay heavy price for ignorance at times. I like to pray and say my Psalm 23, or psalm 99 The Lord's Prayer, meditate in silence, walk in Nature but those are my Christian roots and I know what I am doing and I feel great while doing that. I don't know why white men think they can just do whatever they want and take sacred rituals and ceremonies from indigenous people nd half way do them? Say a simple prayer and do loving and caring things for others that is not that difficult and you don't have to burn in heat and be put through near death to gain some insight.
Shalom Alechaim to all our people we are one nation Stronger United

I would like to expose, another wanna bee, self help guru, from California, his name is Andrew Solitz, how would I put, another James Arthur Ray, but anyways, this guy, Andrew, has no tribal blood leanage, to any Federally recognized tribe, he claims to be related to the Cross family, of Kyle, South Dakota, a little town in the middle of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, but if you ask any member of the Cross, they will tell you, they are not related to him, he is a self-proclaimed wanna bee medicine man, and ppl be aware of him, he is only in it for the money, if you want more info on this guy, please, you can text me at this number, 1-605-899-0719, let's expose this guy...
Very good points. Having been raised by a schizophrenic father who went from religion to religion I saw a fragmented view of belief like looking at god in a broken mirror. Religion was something to reflect on, cut yourself with, try and see others failings in ... it was all about seeing and ideas, it was all in the head. Now as an adult I have found what makes sense to me. But I find many people want ceremony to be something fantastic, like a delusion. I think that it is important to find ceremony in everything... Care of self, earth, others... it is all the same. And that is fantastic. I think a huge issue is people are disconnected from the natural cycles, therefore their own cycles are off balance, always looking for something to rebalance them and this attracts them to "earth based" spirituality. They need a defined set of rules/ceremony to give them permission to connect with the earth. Unfortunately they appropriated and abused other cultures in the process.
TuacaWaca I think you are spot on & expressed yourself very well. [many commenters may have a good point but digress or ramble] Glad you found the path for you, despite the difficulties of the route you took to find it. In some ways, being exposed to a variety of beliefs instead of having a single doctrine drummed into you may have been a bit of an advantage.
Lovely channel!
Can someone inform me on the usage of they "hey" or "neh" that this guy uses in his instruction? 1/4 Unalakleet and I"m totally out of touch with slang and such.
Hey is equivalent to confirming that you and I are eye to eye on something and you know what I’m talking about because you know I’m speaking the truth, right. Neh is confirming that you can not deny something for the same reason. My great grandmother used to do the lip pointing. If I asked “Mau mau is there something that I can get for you? A head shake and a lip point meant just a glass of water or something or if she added “ you grand mother is cooking something?” meant go ask if it was ready then, go fix her a plate, set it at the table , come and help her to the table . But just the lip point meant go to her room and sneak her snuff box from under her bed without getting caught by my grandmother and if I got busted it was on me because she never actually asked me to get it and I would also have to sneak it back.

I agree, thank you for this video and may the great spirit be with you and guide you.
Thank you
I cant speak for the idiot who was charging people and killing them in sweats but you asked why do they want to do this....and paint is as its romantic etc...How about all humans are genuinely seeking to commune with the divine....and it doesnt matter what way you choose. If someone is attracted to seeking divine through the sweat ceremony then problem is? I understand feeling like you own the sweat as native american indians but as long as others do not call their sweats and official native american sweat and if they do it pure of intention then i see nothing wrong or disrespectful
In all native traditions, those who run sweat lodges undergo years of teaching. For most it has been something that was passed down from their ancestors. Throughout history, we have depleted most of the culture and in my opinion, conducting sweat lodges without these spiritual teaching depletes the spiritual significant and is a disrespect to Native culture. I have been to many lodges, and I can tell you, those that are conducted respecting the real culture among Native people and the ancestral teachings, have a greater spiritual significant. It is a lack of respect for Native religion and hijacking their religion with their own twist is another form of damaging the already dying culture.
Of course there is a void of spirit and its not just whites......Its the way the over lords formed society...to control and subjugate.....and yes to consume...be brainwashed by media and academics.....and religions....
like it or not when your talking about traditions....traditions form over time and they change...no matter where you look...To complain about it is to complain about the laws of nature.
With all do respect if we are taught by a Native American Indian and we do not exploit it to others aside from a few like minded friends I see not how it is taking anything from Natives. If it is done as taught and with respect then whats the issue? I can see if someone was charging folks etc or advertising it.....I just do them to pray for myself and others......usually solo. Its not about commodity its about being open to universal truth.....
