I don't have a source, but Legoland pop badges and bricks don't care about anything. They don't seem to use the most up to date version or real designs. They just go with whatever vibe. Or maybe Google and use whatever they find.

My first clones I customized were the shock troopers. Just adding more striping on the helmets and legs, Im glad I never went over board with my other clones. I was always on Fineclonier sub and remember when CABG came up but never jumped over to it until the very end, completely forgot about MMCB. Anyone remember MinifigCustomizationNetwork?
