The title of this piece "The sillies of Sologne" (The Sologne being a region of forests and lakes in the south of the French city Orléans) was inspired by a saying of the time (18th century) : "Those "silly" persons of Sologne who never ever act but in their own interest".

Le titre de cette pièce a été inspiré par un proverbe de l'époque : "Niais de Sologne qui ne se trompe qu'à son profit".

Bravo! on K141. This piece really brings out the harpsichord potential.

It's hard to believe Scarlatti composed such a whimsical piece (K43) during his time. This has the flavor of Cirque du Soleil about it, almost a musical joke it is so humorous. I love it. Really nice playing on the harpsichord, giving it the right light-hearted feel. Also, check out Alice Ader's rendition on the piano. It will blow your mind. Also, listen to Scarlatti K56 as well. Seems related in its hand cross-over acrobatics.
