Overall a great video. Unfortunately, pulling out the fill tube didn't work for me. Pulling it out broke it and the tube won't go back in. Despite it looking the same as yours, I think there are some variations in the Aquapiston models. I'm trying to super glue it, but I don't think that's going to hold up to the pressure. I may need to purchase a whole new unit now.

That looks like 0.41% of Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl. That is a lower concentration likely formulated for homeowner use. Acclaim has 6.59% concentration of Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl and purchasing it that way may be more affordable in the long run. Another herbicide is Fluazifop-P-butyl (brand name Fusilade II) that is the same category herbicide as Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl. Fluazifop-P-butyl (Fusilade II) needs to be applied at lower concentrations during cool seasons because it hurts Bermudagrass and Fescues, it just hurts Bermudagrass much more. Multiple light applications are required. I'm planning on applying it to my tall fescue lawn twice annually, fall and spring. Another method I read about is a cocktail of Fluazifop-P-butyl and Triclopyr. Something about the combination makes it more effective on bermudagrass.

Seriously, thank you for this. I wasted so much time today between the house and Lowe’s I was about to give up. Your video explained my problem perfectly. P-Trap first, everything else after should just be glued and fitted to meet the floor instead of wasting time with all these screw on fittings. 90% of the videos on TH-cam are regular P traps without a wall drain instead of the floor.

It is still an S-trap, or simply an un-vented trap. At least install an air admittance vent.

You need to use an AIR ADMITTANCE VALVE for venting.

I would honestly get a power washer and the sand blasting attachment and cover up the windows with plywood and strip it down to the wood then wire wheel and sand the wood and then hit it with some exterior grade 2k poly primer from Centurion. Edit I’d also spray on the primer and back roll it then only spray a second coat within the recoat time so you don’t need to sand inbetween coats!

you don't need this oil based wood primer a high quality one is much much thicker than this stuff then oil undercoat then oil gloss or aluminium wood primer which will take a extra day or 2 as its silver will need a extra oil undercoat for opacity

Where is the vent pipe?

After several tries flushing the device on the left, also with yellow lid, I took apart the large Aqua Piston Seal on the right, as this video explains, I cleaned and reseated the yellow ring seal at the bottom of the black cylinder (piston?). Thanks to the downloadable manual from the scan code, which says just to clean it FIRST, the system stopped losing water and refilling and is now working. There was not much visible gunk on either item. I took off the yellow seal at the bottom of the large pistion (to which the flush handle is connected (quite challenging), and reseated the ring at bottom of the black cylinder.

I have a Santa Rosa Kohler and did this exact fix which worked but I'm also seeing that the big black foam 'flush valve gasket" at the bottom of the tank is also disintegrating. I've heard people have problems doing that fix because of it being hard to unscrew and then screw down the canister afterwards inside the tight confines of the tank. In my case I'm probably going to not fix it until it actually fails, since the toilet is a one piece if it does fail it would just leak into the bowl which is not a big deal whereas the same leak in a two piece would go all over the floor. Do you have any tips on fixing the flush valve gasket? The Kohler gasket part is GP83996

Before you attempt this, make sure to also check the little plastic vertical piece that can be turned right or left on the fill valve (in my case it was to the left of the cylinder they show at this video). That can be adjusted to the fill level and apparently mine has crept up and was letting water run all the time. It has a philips head on top for philips screwdrivers. adjust that first.

Hi there sinks have a flat bottom discharge which it means it prime's the trap ,same as a bath

But I heard it doesn't kill it or get rid of it. It just suppresses it for a while and then it comes back next year.

No caulk needed for between the faucet and countertop?
