Can any dog sense greening?
For example if they hover around and keep smelling the tree
Any dog can sense any smell that any other dog can, but for the dog to react to said smell in a useful way for you will probably require training.
Very educative and development bringer teachings
Enthusiasts, not fanatics...jeesh!
Thank you so much for sharing what a gift having land is & how caring for it is a legacy. The ways in which to care for land with newer equipment has improved but the basic instict is still the same.

I wonder where these farm workers are right now?
Perennial peanut, how did the studies turn out?
This is awesome. Great information too
What herbicide can I use to control day flower and not hurt the peanut grass?
My Victor trap was stupid wouldn't set it kept activating so I notched the plate where the arms rest and it started working okay
I’ll be sure and tell my cows to only graze to 4”
Can it be used in plantations (rubber plantation) as ground cover to eliminate weeds.
Perennial peanut has been used as a ground cover in citrus groves, so it could likely work for rubber trees too. But there is nothing you can plant that "eliminates weeds." Weed control is still an issue in perennial peanut. The benefit is a cover crop or ground cover that also adds nitrogen to the soil.
Is this good for E. Texas
If Bermudgass grows well there this should work there too. Just understand that alfalfa will not persist for more than a few years along the Gulf Coast.
Can't wait until I have a farm too! This is helpful information! I would love if ours was generational as well. May your farm and family be blessed!🙏🏾
Long story short, overseeing with a clover of some sort( which your pasture has some of) will aid in nitrogen soil fixation and availability
Thank you for teaching me something new!
I love the generational engagement.
I can’t count how many times I’ve had a client ask me if I trap and relocate gophers 😆
Well then if you have had so many sounds like you need to figure out how to do and satisfy the thousands of customers that have asked you to trap and relocate. Make your customers happy dude!!!!
@@300tdavis Or, you can mind your own business and trap your own gophers.
@@lesschattermoresplatter5769 Or you can keep posting this junk publicly and get feedback!
Very interesting!
So, it turns out that legumes DO provide nitrogen directly to other plants as they are growing.
The talk wasnt filled with "like" & "ummm", the topic was interesting, good explanation of all of the data and conclusion. Well worth the time to listen, thanks!
Sure wish I could hear what you'resaying
How many square feet does each roll contain? Thank you in advance.
Wich one grow higher? can use it to feed a Braman bull? Where can I get it?
What are the drawbacks of Waxy Leaf compared to other varieties available now? I want to replace my lawn so I don't have to own a mower or hire. Lawn companies won't come and mow just 1-2 times per year. The Ecoturf variety is too tall because it's 10". The Waxy Leaf height of 3" is great, but what are the drawbacks. Does it do well in sun, shade or both? How drought resistant is it? Thanks.
Very informative. Thanks.
I'd like to replace my lawn with Ecoturf. Do I need to till the dirt first? Or can I plant it and little by little remove the vegetation around it to allow it to take over? I've seen people use a thick layer of mulch as well.
You would need to remove all vegetation that might compete. Perennial Peanut establishes very slowly.
How would you save the seeds of these to replant when the plants stop growing?
Interesting to see these varieties right next to each other. Would be interesting to also see the planting dates for each as well as the forage values given that they were all grown in the same conditions.
Do we need herbicide to prevent weeds? What kind of herbicide that safe fot pinto peanut?
So ahh what's that stick for?
Mam, can the cowboy variety be propagated through cuttings?
You plant the rhizomes underneath the ground.
Could this become an invasive species? In Colombia I see it only as monocultures. Could it invade our ecosystems?
What type of fertilizer were you using Organic or chemical ?
my left ear thanks you
What acreage are these forage reports based off >? Obtain 365 of forage for which median of acreage?
Hi. Question, can you use it as a cover crop?
Is it possible to grow from seeds?
Only the Pintoi varieties can be planted from seed. All of the varieties in the video were planted from dug root spriggs.
@@PanhandleAgExtension Where do I buy this?
@@海-o5n This is planted from vegetative materials from area farmers
I would love to buy some UF Tito. Are there any nurseries that sell it?
There are a couple of farms that sell sprigs in North Florida. www.perennialpeanuthay.org/
How can i buy some of these varieties to be shipped to Texas. How do I buy anything created by UF?
What is the best variety for horse hay?
I am inquiring for the best variety for horses. Can I contact you via your website for this information?
Ecoturf would be best for grazing, but there is not much difference as far as hay quality. Hay yield is better with the newer varieties due to disease resistance.
@@PanhandleAgExtension do you know of any farmers that grow Bahia/Perennial Peanut pastures for equine grazing? How do the two species mix in? Is the Peanut too rich for grazing? Thx.
Which variety would be best for a lawn in south Florida?
After 8 years of trying to get my bahia yard to green up and thicken up just north of Tampa, I've finally learned spraying liquid iron that I found at Home Depot. It attaches to my water hose and now I have an amazing carpet of deep green going now. Also, I finally bought a big Cub Cadet zero turn mower that I use on it's highest setting, which is higher than standard residential mowers. If I could post a picture here, everyone would be as stunned as I am. Also, I quit watering at all and now have less weeds.
