RC120 EVO rotation for pusher prop

I recieved my RC120 evo motor today from hobbyking. I also got 2 28X10 cf props for this motor but seeing this motor and props were designed for a tractor config and I wanted to use it as a pusher config then I needed to work out if I could reverse the rotation. After a days research and very little info I worked out that I would need to change the timing to be before TDC from a clockwise rotat...
ASK 21 gliding Camden

This was my 2nd lesson at Camden flying in the ASK 21. The weather had a WSW breeze blowing in at 15~25knots. Gliders really make winds seem like theyre not there. From Take off till landing I was in control with the exception of applying the wheel brakes once landed.

I tried using my gopro 3 timelapse at 2second intervals.. A tad too fast I think.. Will do a new video again soon of the electronics install.
Dynamic S Stolen and Soaring

I took my Dynamic S out to have to some fun in the 20knot Southerly breeze. Its carrying a 2200mah 3S and could go lighter in cell capacity as Im soaring and not using the motor. I cant believe how well it performs for such a narrow airfoil.

Still nutting out problems lol. Actually had failure 40m up. Front right rotor's nylock nut loosened and lost drive and fell from the sky... So this was the repaired test flight.

Slowly eliminating all of the fall out of the sky problems with my tricopter. I need to setup a rig to laser balance my props thanks to the guys at flitest. This will get rid of the rippling in the video

Sorry no plans were made.. it's not to hard to get the 2D profile images and make it. To cancel adverse yaw you can see the drag tips at the end of the wings.
@@Cjudd001 It may be simple for you, but I don't have that much technical knowledge. Can you present it to me in a ready-made way?
@@AsiKURT-dx4wo my plans were never produced in STL... This is not a 3D model. Simple.. take a 2D image off the internet. Use MS Paint to trace the top view of the image of half of the aircraft. Mirror that image to make a butterfly.. You now have 1 wing.. You just need to make 2 of them. Watch my other build videos. You will work it out

You can definitely try different motor prop combos.. Since it's a build it yourself aircraft you can experiment. Your prop motor combo should be a reasonable combo and good for efficiency.

Are you using a torque arm on this? I thought these frames were aluminum and torque arms advised mostly for steel frames. Wanna do something very similar and curious what that part looked like

Ceramic coated ports and combustion face. Larger turbo larger intercooler. Ceramic coated piston crowns. Peak Exhaust gas temp 450deg C. Mercedes V8 radiator. Overheating and head cracking issues were addressed. If you drive a stock motor then maybe 3000rpm is your limit.

Depends on what's been adjusted on the pump. I'm also not a diesel mechanic so unfortunately I can't help. Sorry.

I think elevons are a bit small

Is there any chance you could go into more detail on the JC, I’m looking at a 70 or a 26, interested in your e drive setup, how do you find the steering? Thanks mate.
the 70 shouldn't be so different to a 26 when it comes to driving.. In fact mine has a 26" rim on the hub motor which is a Chinese Conis motor I believe off ebay. Not the most efficient due to the thick lamination's. I started with the stock ebay purchase and started modifying it almost immediately. Replaced the stock 48V controller with a 96V 1500W and of course rewired the motor from star to delta. Running on a 20S 20ah battery gave me a range of 50km and a flat ground speed of 65kph. The motor was a rated at 500W but runs at about 3.2KW. Steering. would be nice if you could adjust the handles position fwd or backwards.. I feel mine could go forward as my shoulders get sore. Other than that not to bad.. Its a trike and even though you are low you need to consider your turns as it will lift a wheel and could flip.

Nice build and really good video. I know I'm only 7 years too late compared to everyone else....LOL. I watched the whole thing from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love it when I find someone that makes a build look so simple. You now join that list. I've been building my wings with carbon arrow shafts for extra strength, something I learned from Ed from Experimental Airlines, but perhaps not absolutely necessary all the time. I keep thinking that eventually, the wing will fold under stress and pressure without them - perhaps not? The other thing is I always build a fold-able wing for space and transportation, but I may actually do one that is fixed and unitary. Cheers.

lol, long ago in a land far away..... a board of Foam rose up to beCome, a WING. It's a pleasure to watch anyone work when they have mastered the materials they're working with. You've obviously built a few & the directions are at the link but I didn't see the actual measurements? Or even a sliding scale that I could use. watch my how to print plans video on how to scale. You can see I cheated and used all of the foamboard by just extending the plans inwards. Thank you for your comment. You put a lot of thought into it.
@@Cjudd001 ~ Been LQQKing/Thinking about flying for a month now. Not much time & I'm the hands on type. I've done all kinds of woodworks in antique restorations (carving/veneering) so I'm trying to assemble the plans. I know the 2 foams/glues I'd like & also I'm closing in on cheap carbon fiber for strength. THe plans are paramount in being a success & I se e you've done that here. As you can guess, I've got many other questions but if I get a plan to go w/ the materials I'll figure out the electronics I need along my journey...... I just don't want a pile of parts that I grow out of too fast? Ya know? You do know & TY for the videos.. peace
