Couldn’t help but laugh when you said those last few dramas playing the same type patterns, synergy, unique I’m afraid not to me they all sounded the same like clones
2:16 oh that's the part of the video you understand why the name of the channel is "Drum Hub"
Thanks for the vid! I've hit a plateau recently and will definitely try this out next time I'm on a kit. What metronome do you use?
i've been looking for some lessons on drums for this rearrangement of the song. Great great educational content, nice video men <3
Thanx sooooo much man for this vidéo!! Step by step I succeed to play this crazy song 🤟 .. I had the level, but no way to understand exactly what the drum play, thanx 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Stoked to hear it Thomas mate, glad to have helped a bit! Keep killing it! Alex 🤜

Shout out to my algebra teachers for ruining the word "linear."
I love your Videos. But we Must speak of Mike Clark of the Head hunters.
The legend! 🔥
I'll subscribe if you get new pads for your dt990s or tell me those are aftermarket pads. lol
Nahhh, wear them til they’re dust haha. Thanks for watching! Alex 🤜
Legit
Thanks man! Definitely very surreal to see you comment on one of my videos, thanks for all the videos and pods over the years! Alex 🤜
Been working on linear chops religiously recently, so much fun. Definitely best to take your time with one pattern then slowly add more as each becomes muscle memory, and for the love of god permeate everything!
True dat! 🤜
Love your videos, keep it up! 🤝🏼
Thank you mate, stoked you are getting something from them! Alex 🤜
@ Absolutely! I binged all of your videos this weekend :D
Yess you legend!

My friend found this record in his dad's old collection. I couldn't find it anywhere online but i liked it so much that i recorded it with my phone. The fact that I see it everywhere these days blows my mind.
Great job, thanks for sharing !! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your videos are pure gold, mate. Thanks for sharing this inception into Dilla and all else you've been putting out there
request:Like him by tyler
What's interesting with this track is that they're using real drums to mimic a drum machine when it's almost always the other way around. However, in going for a contemporary R&B sound (which predominantly relies on drum machines), they used this pattern. Neat!
mannn ive been wrecking my brain over this groove for so long, hoping a video like this would spawn out of nowhere. my prayers have been answered 🙏 thank you so much, amazing content
Really dig this. I was trying to imagine what these beats would look like notated. This is it. Thanks!
Shoutout jdilla needs more unpredictable bass placement. Great fucking video dude
Awesome video! 🤗 Main groove can also be counted: "1+2+3+4+123"
Great Job Man!!!
Thanks man 😎
This is like the latest fad for drummer shorts
There were times in this video that i forgot to pay attention to the notation and what he was teaching because i was listening to the immaculate snare he’s got
Made it very easy to understand. Great vid!
かっこいい!cool
Incredible!
very helpful!
as a punk rock drummer, you made it a LOT easier to play something new. thanks!!🤘🤟
Yessss sir 😤
11 over 4 is very close to a dotted eight pattern in 4
Just wanted to say, love shouting out Puma Blue and Yussef Dayes, they make some amazing music
See: Tigran
I literally JUST saw him do this on SonorTube. Had np idea what it was. It makes sense that it rotates as the radius chnages so does the point of impact.
nice 1 mate , excellent stuff
You could also count it as if it's 6/4 but with a slight rush on the last count. 1-3-5-7-9-" 'leve-" Additionally you could simplify, and count "One, two, three, four, five, skip-one, two, three, four, five, skip-one" etc.
1:30 i typically find myself doing a mix of the two styles mentioned - alternating between counting to 6, then 5
thank you this vdo helps me a lot
of the entire song :’)
so cool! where can I find the full partition please??
the final off-kilter groove near the end is one of the cooler things i wish more drummers would experiment with, the malleability of time and the insane stuff you can pull off with a little bit of that borrowed time feel. Great + informative video, your interpretation and control of time + sound quality is really impressive <3
Hey! Might be a silly question, but how does it loop?
I that blows your mind the you haven't listened to a lot of music have you?
