@mikdunne yeah certain products will only tip in a tipping tank. We trued tipping the fibres in a standard tank one day and it took forever. And a tipping tank is designed for easier cleaning out.

@ohooley the curtains are standard ones that came with the truck. They have scania logo on passenger side and you can zip them closed when you pull them around the windscreen. I always try keep them pleated aswel.

@andyfletcher7535 yes it was opened by k&k. You can see the old sign writing on the back of the tank. They sure do rattle when empty. Need too replace one or two of the small rubber pads that the tank rests on when it is settled back down on the chassis. Just noticed the other day that one is worn away.

@stephenmartinloughran-zv3cu done a quick wash again this afternoon. Was rotten. Ran out of day light to get the tank done. Should have a TH-cam short on the wash today or tomorrow

@@stephenmartinloughran-zv3cu cheers man,glad you are enjoying the vlogs. I done it once years ago and like that just pulled the red suzzie back off and she stopped. Thsnkfully it bearly moved as I was on fairly level ground. I have a fierce habit now a days when I get out of the cab too hook up the suzzies and landing leg's, I close the door of the cab and then reopen it and look in too see if the hand brake is on. 😂😂 Another good thing to do is put the yellow line on first and you will hear it activating the brakes on the trailer, even though the trailer brakes are already on, you will hear it doing its thing. But yeah it's only something you do once and it dose give you a wake up call. Like when you park in the truck stop along side another truck and a few moments later the other truck starts moving away and too the side of your eyes you think it's your truck rolling as you frantically press the brake pedal 🤣🤣🤣

@@gerardkinsella6034 the main difference would be the artic truck bends in the middle and you have to turn the steering wheel the wrong way going backwards 🤣🤣 Ah no in all fairness there just longer in length and more then likely heavier depending on what you are loading. Other than that possible a bigger cab and engine depending on what truck you are in. Far play if you get the license just to have it. You'll nearly always get work with it.

@@dannywalsh4679 so preference wise I think I prefer the regular tank as you don't have too worry about stability when tipping and probably because I have been on the normal tanks a lot longer then tipping tanks. You can use either tank for cement but we don't use tipping tank for cement only use it for fibre, but you can't use normal tank for the fibre product that we deliver. . Cement flows like water but the fibre is much lighter and need less air to move it. Also with the tipping tank you have more control on how much you open and close the valve at the back of tank where with the normal tank the pinch value is either open fully or closed fully. And funny you ask tipping time which is quicker. The normal tank will be carrying between 30 and 32 ton of cement and takes about 25 minutes to half hour unloading time where as the tipping tank will have only 10 ton at most and it takes about 25 minutes. It would fit neatly 30 ton no problem but the fibre Silo's are never that big and they don't use it as quick as cement. The fibres that I deliver are for the tarmac plants. I have seen lads delivering fibres for the cement plants, 30 ton at a time and they are definitely about 1 hour 20 minutes tipping them tanks. Tipping tanks are used a good bit for food products as they are easily cleaned out, where the cement tank would take a lot longer and would be ideal for cleaning as the bottom of the pots are different to the tipping tank pots. Hope all that makes a little bit of sense. I will try make other videos in the future and try show the difference of the inside of the tanks.
