I strongly disagree Alonso return,anyway he back😁. It’s no hiding that I’m a fan of Alonso.. but I just don’t see the point in having him trundling around in the midfield with Renault. He adds excitement and value to F1 when he’s fighting up front against talents like Hamilton and Verstappen.. not battling lower level talents like Magnussen or Grosejan because thats what I see. It’s painful to watch a driver of his calibre just making up the number so I’d have to say that he’s better off just trying his luck in other categories.why bother coming back and celebrating 7th place? That was basically why he left in the first place. My point is giving Renault young drivers the opportunity.

@@mphorampatla But we have to remember that Alonso is in this for 2022 not 2021, and we just don't know how the pecking order is gonna look when the new technical regulations hit. And if Alonso is anything close to his old self, if Renault hit it big in 2022 they'll actually have a driver with the quality to win them a Championship. That's the dream being sold to Alonso. Renault's young drivers need some time I think anyway to continue improving so I think it's OK if Alonso holds the fort while Zhou and Lundgaard develop. And Oscar Piastri is just 18-years-old. I think Renault have the time to take the punt on Alonso and try to strike it big and lucky for 2022 before moving on and bringing through their young drivers. The drivers on the horizon are very strong for Renault - they do have excellent young talents but Lundgaard was an F2 rookie and Zhou has underwhelmed somewhat in the current campaign.

Again with Alonso,he 38 /39 and has pretty much spent all his career saying he wants to challenge for titles, not even just occasional podiums and wins 😅Unlike Kimi who just want to enjoy driving.He is not Vettel or Hamilton either who although obviously want more championships, they stick to “we as a team want to improve and win the championship" instead of Alonso’s style “I ALONE WANT A THIRD CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ME AND ONLY ME”😂.And even if we say that he is willing to return and spend a few years building a team with the hope that with the 2022 regs, he is again at the front of the field, then Renault is certainly not that team.😁just a sentiment

@@mphorampatla Well it's true to say that the dream Renault are selling is a longshot when you consider the only teams who have been competitive in the last decade are Mercedes, Ferrari and RBR. And Alonso is quite a selfishly driven character. But if the car is great, Alonso could win the WDC and Kimi probably not. However, who would you put in the car? For example, if we go with an academy driver, if they did hit it big in 2022 then they probably wouldn't have a driver good enough to beat Hamilton or Verstappen for the Championship, with a relatively inexperienced team of say, I dunno, Ocon and Zhou. If there was an F2 champion star in their ranks I might take that punt, but because nobody is really ready, despite all the things you said about Alonso which are true, at least he does give them that shot in 2022, even if it's a longshot punt. F1 does appear stagnant to the extent where it seems laughable that Renault could be that team to jump to the front in 2022, but there are many historical instances of big regulation changes drastically mixing up the pecking order. So would you hire from outside their program? For example, an all French lineup with Ocon and Gasly? Gasly has been excellent this season.
