Black Beauty nursing her most recent offspring, a black bull named Laird. Coos born with a bright red coat of fur will usually turn all black if they have a black nose and tongue. There is a possibility of them becoming the rarest of coo colors, a brindle, but their baby hair is usually replaced with dark black fur as they grow. As of the fall of 2024, Laird is now a very large year and half ol...

During this farm tour, he got to meet a few new people. It will take many more similar visits for him to become more comfortable around humans. He has quickly made many animals friends. That’s the one who looks like Ferdinand.
Could you do a video of him in the wading pool?
Sadly, we lost Gabe to old age. We now have only one alpaca, Mozart, who also likes the water hose but I have yet to capture a good video of him splashing.
What a cute little guy!
Good girl 🐑
Cut the point off the horns and get rid of the dog😂
The younger black bull, Claymore, actually broke the tips off of both of his horns. We don't poll or trim the horns of any of our bulls, steers, heifers, or cows. Not getting rid of my service dog.
Looks like a buffalo calf. Cute little critter.
When tourists come meet them in person, many comment their heads look similar to bison.
idea for next video: farmer's technique - eat soup with a fork
Sorry, not understanding your analogy.
Always wondered what happened when those big pointy bulls started acting like bulls instead of pasture puppies... the blood. The rather large dog trying to break them up... Damn.
They boys were excited to see each other after so long apart. Claymore had grown a lot and wanted to wrestle Higgins to see if he was as strong as his older buddy. They scratched each other a few times but neither required medical attention. Munchkin was also excited, he rarely barks. The wrestling drew a crowd, all of the other coos came over to watch.
Needs a spa day.....shaggy chic is out this year for cute Highlander bulls....
During his first winter, his coat grew very long. This spring, some of his side hairs were about two and a half feet in length. His fur is also fluffy.
@@wildflowerfarmmccalliehigh5904 I use to raise highlander cattle.....I had one person who swore they were yaks....Fluffy they are....The hide on some of the steers was worth a pretty penny.....The long tuff from shedding out was used for spinning.. There meat is very delicious, different from other cattle....The texture, taste, very rich with nutrients....I feed crimped oats #2 alfalfa, year round.....I believe I will raise a herd of Buffalo 🦬 next..... Yellowstone Park may have a few wandering bison to get rid of, lol.....Best of Luck....
Well, I can't say it wasn't what was advertised.
Hi Fergus and munchkin I am your cousin, James’s wife, Carrie McCallie
They are so cute!!!
Jeez those flies have to be a pain.
Yes. The flies are annoying but it is the horse flies that really bother them because they bite.
@@wildflowerfarmmccalliehigh5904 I know those bugs very well.
did the calf survive to today?
Sterling now weighs well over 1,000 lbs and is growing into a handsome, stocky, musical bull. He loves to meet new people during our farm tours. He and other coos are currently for sale. @@wildflowerfarmmccalliehigh5904 im happy to hear that!! always nice to see the newborn calf moving around on its own after the birth
1 Sharingnya sangat bagus kawan ini jenis sapi apa kok bulunya tebal sekali🙏
These cattle are called Highland coos and come from Scotland. The weather in the highlands of Scotland can be extreme so their long hair developed as protection from the elements.
1 Selamat siang semoga sekeluarga sehay selalu serta ternak sapinya cepat berkembang 🙏
Terima kasih.
1 Sapinya besar sekali tempat yang luas dan rumputnya melimpah salam silaturahmi 🙏
We love our Highlands ❤❤❤
isnt this behavior dangerous with eye loss ?
No. Highland coos are the oldest domestic bovine on the planet, renowned for their adaptability, ruggedness, easy handling, and top quality meat, amongst other unique qualities. This hardy breed often goes from playful wrestling that would crush a human to gently grooming each other. In decades of breeding these animals we have never had an eye wound. They grow up used to having horns and communicate with each other by tapping. Coos often rely on each other to use their horns to scratch hard to reach itches. They are incredibly tough creatures and can seem brutal with each other, then so gentle with people I sit on their backs when they are lying down to rest. Scottish cattle are amazing.

No way that's a day old.. it's looking like a 6 month old calf
He's over a year now and almost as tall as some of our smaller adults. He is enormous.
