Tires Are CRAP. First Thing ide advised as an upgrade on this RC.

Love the scale look, not what people typically do like putting monster truck sized tires on everything.

Cool build! Hope you get it straightened out. I got one coming to make a military truck out of it. I saw it had upgraded motor and ESC from the previous version, was smoother and quieter. So I got metal axles, oil shocks, servo and horn, and wheels tires from one of the upgraded link from AliExpress. I got many horizon hobby rigs but just getting my first mn and wpl rigs and finding out if I can get legit parts and see how it goes

This is great. While I don't plan to add any more Traxxas to the fleet, I was hoping they would put out a 1/18 Gen 2 Bronco since they already have the licensing and did the 1/10 (I would get that but do not want to spend $500+ on it nor necessarily want one that large). I used to have a 1/1 79 Bronco on 44's and have always wanted to replicated it in RC. I did one once on a Losi Micro Crawler about 10-15 years ago using a 1/25 Marvell Wild Hoss kit, but it has been MIA for a few years after some moves.

Definitely. Im having so much fun with this. I hope they release upgrade parts for it soon, like metal suspension.

That was a great idea. I had to steal it! I had the Traxxas Ford Grill extra laying around and swapped the whole thing into my old Panda Hobby thing. It’s a FORD now. Subscribed

I had the same issue on my C74, but not so much this one. I also had it on my C64-1. And, I had the issue with it cutting off on me the way this one is on my C 74, but not this one. I ordered the res v3 for the C74, and I'm just waiting for a new ESC as mine fried, so I am waiting for that to arrive to hook it all up and see how it works. Also installed the two speed motor, I ordered two, so I might put it on this one as well. But then I think I have to order a new transmitter. It never ends!

Cool Jimny and nice upgrades...really like the winch mod! As for suspension binding, hopefully the new shocks will solve the issue. One thing I noticed that not even reviewers of this rig seem to mention, is how far back the front axle sits, bringing those front tires really close to the body or rear of the front wheel openings!

I've been eyeing these - I noticed that without the battery you only have the green option, not too fond of that shade. I ain't looked, figured they were too new to get parts for yet. This would work for me (as I really don't need or want the battery) maybe paint it metallic blue like my truck or I've seen someone paint their Walmart Bronco body Spastic Candy Apple - looks good.

0:59. Came out looking really good. Like that you pained that section black. Pet peeve of mine when that's various colors in the body. That's not how real SCTs look. The orange looks good too. Well done. Anyways, have you have luck with Krylon paint on lexan? They say made for plastic. So i recently painted my first lexan clear body. I bought RC lexan paints. They worked. But in a scrap piece from cutting out, I ran a test and painted it matte flat black (just a random krylon paint I had. Probably the same one you have). And I've kept that scrap piece as a test. I've tried bending that piece, scratching it. Seeing if it flakes like like what you read online it'll do. Nothing. It's fine. Looks the same. Starting to think the RC paint thing is a rip off when there are cheaper alternatives. Just seeing what you think.

You want the chassis to bottom out rather than the shock. That way it's not smashing the shock piston inside

1:54. I don't know what the spur gear is but I've driven enough 1/10 SCTs to know that a 13T pinion is way undergeared (at least for 2s it is. That's what i run). I'd up that to about 20 or so. Maybe throw a fan on the motor if it needs it. 20 still ain't that bad. Start to go mid 20s & higher then you're starting to get a little hotter but I figure if one runs 2s (or if they want to race it where you have to run 2s) that a 20T pinon with that motor setup should be pretty nice.
