Very pretty Desoto! Thanks. In addition to the competition from GM and Ford mid priced brands, there were the independents Nash, Hudson, Packard Clipper, Studebaker President, Kaiser. And they were all experiencing increasing competitive pressure as Ford, Chevy, Plymouth moved upscale with their fancy Fairland, Bel Air, and Belvedere models.
Yes all this competition caused Nash and Hudson to join together and form AMC. Even Packard and Studebaker joined forces very briefly. Thank you so much for watching. I very much appreciate it.
This is the first time I have heard about this brand. Very cool history lesson and quite a nice design in these cars 😊👍
@@AtTonisGarage Thank you. Yes these cars were quite the lookers. Especially in the mid to late 50s. So glad you enjoyed it. Feel free to check out my others vids and tell your friends. Thanks again!

Thank you sooo much! I really appreciate it!
Love the Foxbodies too, and pop bought a Grand National new when he worked at GM in 87, as a kid it was Darth Vaders car to me lol. Had this exact Mustang a few years ago though not as nice, same car they escaped the hospital from in the Steven Seagal movie Hard to Kill, love it.
Yes those Grand Nationals were cool. I used to own just a regular 1984 Buick Regal. I used to see these Fox body Mustangs everywhere, and I honestly still see quite a few of them still driving around. Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it. Please feel free to share the link. Thanks again.
