    The hand saw being used in this video is absolutely useless, the teeth are too deep and jagged and constantly gets stuck. This is my own experience and I’m sure many others experiences also. A small cheap chainsaw works best.

    • @VargasLandscapingPresents
      @VargasLandscapingPresents หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the situation, by the time you go to the truck and get the chainsaw and put gasoline you could be done with 3 branches. It did take a long time though! Hahahaha.

    Great work.👍 What season to trim tree. The mesquite tree is got yellow pollen on it. Do i wait for it all to fall off.

    • @VargasLandscapingPresents
      @VargasLandscapingPresents 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It will be a good idea when the pollen is not on the tree as it will be an unpleasant experience breathing. The mesquite trees are semi dormant in certain areas and it’s better to prune when the tree is dormant. Best to prune in the winter time. In spring time and fall is okay for some light pruning. Don’t make heavy pruning in summer or you may get sunburn on some branches that are in the center of the tree.

    Any idea how to stop them all leaning away from the fence, instead of straight up please? Also does it matter if I keep cutting off the flower (or the thing that looks like the bird) I just think they look messy.

    • @VargasLandscapingPresents
      @VargasLandscapingPresents 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First, I image the fence is tall because it sounds like it’s giving a lot of shade to the plant. The stalks are growing away from the fence looking for sunlight. I have two ideas: One is cutting all the babies that are growing close to the fence as much as possible away from the fence. Second idea is the new babies that are growing should be staked to direct the growth closer to the fence. Later on they will continue growing closer to the fence. It doesn’t matter if you cut off the flower. You are right, they are messy. I usually clean all the flowers. In my opinion, the beauty of the giant bird of paradise is the clump itself and the foliage, not the flower.

    • @VargasLandscapingPresents
      @VargasLandscapingPresents 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can tell you some things. First, what state and country are you in? King palms are susceptible to low and high temperatures. They can get sunburn from high temps and can get foliage damage from low temperatures. Also, they can get hurt by high winds. Plant them where they have a little more protection from direct sunlight and from winds. Also, you should fertilize (in California area) with fertilizer high in manganese because they can get foliage necrosis by deficiency of manganese.

    • @EC20121
