big mistake. We need clean energy. A lot more of it and this is free power. We are worried about fish while we pollute the air? Air pollutants get into the streams.

Nice, You just destroyed 100-year history which should be a lot more important than fish swimming up the Paulinskil.. They have the entire Delaware river to do that. The state could have bought it and made the hydro plant into a historic park site so people could visit and see the inside of a small working hydro plant built over 100 years ago. You not only destroyed this dam, but you destroyed all the dams past Blairstown. You probably would have also taken the Paulinskill lake dam and the Swartswood lake dam if the residents let you. You put those stupid fish above the 100-year history of the area. If you were worried about the fish then why do you allow fishing in the paulinskill. in the first place? The game warden would sure as hell come after you if you didn't have a fishing license. Aren't you killing the fish when your fishing? Who allowed this? Who really cares if fish are in the Paulinskill. About 10 people fish in it anyway in a year. 30 years I lived in Blairstown and I'm very sad to see the history of the area destroyed because some people want to see fish in a stream.

I think it was a big mistake. The Dam had a working hydroelectric plant. It was small but produced around 330 kw per hour. They had a 20 contract with JCP&L I heard a guy who was in ocean bound shipping bought the plant for his son. But it was looked after by a hired local resident. It was owned by a private family called "Great Bear" or something like that. It is one of only three Hydroelectric plants in NJ. The Patterson falls is one. Yards creek in Blairstown is another. Then this one. They should have created a historic site and park if anything. There were several of these small hydroelectric plants along the tributaries of the Delaware river. Most all of them were demolished and their value in history also destroyed. They broke down all the historic dams just so fish could swim up the pallinskil? Who cares about that? There is Swartswood lake they can fish if they want. They didn't swim up the paulinskill for 100 years. 10 people fish in the Paulinskill . The historic value, like the trains is a lot more important than fish in the Paulinskill. People can fish in the Delaware river.

Hi, How many bags would you recommend for a 1/2 acre pond with avg depth of 8'? My pond is in the woods so i take a tremendous amount of leaves so I'm constantly battling excess nutrients in the water that feed algae and negatively affect the water clarity.

Thats just a bump in the River. You should see the destruction that has been made in the Klamath River after they removed those Dams. It killed everything living thing in the River for hundreds of miles. Millions and Millions of Fish are dead. I don't think that its going ever recover from this. Some Fish was Better than No Fish at all.
