AFK Apartment Fish Keeping

All about keeping fish in your sweet homes. Was bored during quarantine and I ended up getting aquariums, fish and even plants!!!
I’m not a pro but I have kept aquariums since i was little and during my teenage years with some easy to keep fishes like gourami, goldfish, carp, molly, guppy, swordtail and cichlids. This time though, now that I have a stable job and earning my own moolah, I am going for Discus and still with my old school mollies and guppies
This channel is going to be stocked with videos or my aquariums from my messy apartment - I will talk mainly about keeping fish in your apartment, maintaining Discus, breeding Discus, Mollies and Guppies and a whole lot more
Also expect to see me upload relaxing videos that you can just play in the background.

These are my orange and red cherry shrimps. Currently they are placed in this Walstead tank set up and they’re doing pretty good in it. This is only my first month keeping shrimps and they seem to be thriving and I’m just looking forward to see them hatch these babies and probably make a video on how to keep these guys.

How often did you feed the fry?
Could you help me a little please? I have these 2 months old discus pack and some are a little bit darker coloured especially the vertical lines on their body. Everywhere i read this is a sign of stress but they come and eat from my hand and seem really happy. Could they be stressed or is it normal?
The line is a genetic thing. Your fish is normal

not a good mix
Actually, as one is homozygous the F1 will carry this and produce strong and predictable outcomes when back breeding the F2 to the parents. These two will produce the beginning line of incredible looking fish. Try studying genetics of the species before commenting.

Hi’ What’s your aquarium size? And do you use heater at this time?
This breeding tank was a 15 gallon tank. I only turned the heater on when they were in the spawning and hatching stage then after that no heater for them. Just did lots of water changes when they started eating brine shrimp

Yes, the Golden is male and the Alenquer is female. Just wanted to see how their fry would look. Will be posting an update with the outcome now that they’re a year old 🙂

I’m just using sponge filters for these guys. I was advised that they like more flow in their tank so I will need to upgrade my filtration soon 🥰
