Track 4 from "Essays in Rhyme on Passion and Ethics (2010)". Lyrics: Immortal well of my afterthought With thy basalt epidermis I whittle my conscience Wailing and impudence unfold before me And their dishing out happens Withing the sprouts of Cupid's company That in vain i pursue. My sobbing bursts echo Like fishing ships struck by the waves They bring memories from those birds of prey Lurking...

Track 3 from "Essays in Rhyme on Passion and Ethics (2010)". Lyrics: Courageous and stable Tremble for a a life time Marching in insolent rhythm Let the weak people moan. ...Little ones, hope you find my way Then Sabbath will rise. Solid misleading light In my arrogant hands Black horses approach the scaffold Asking for mercy, offering ash To the horrible machine. The machine started to bleed. ...

Track 4 from "Fear of a Blank Planet" (2007) Never want to be old And I don't want dependence It's no fun to be told That you can't blame your parents anymore I'm finding it hard To hang from a star I don't want to be... Never want to be old Sullen and bored the kids stay And in this way wish away each day Stoned in the mall the kids play And in this way wish away each day I don't really know I...

Boris with Michio Kurihara - And, I Want
I swear, I've never been so happy to see a dolphin and its pod return to its own time after defeating an alien! It's been 30 years since I played this weekend, and we all got excited when any of us got the big blue, a few times we made it to the prehistoric pterodactyl levels, but never pass that. And to see you do it with such ease, just blows me away. Makes me realize how much I missed during my childhood.
I fully understand it's a speed run, but all the tricks and things that are performed in order to get through so many levels so quickly, just blows my mind. I grew up as a kid playing this game, and you are able to get through the first eight levels faster than I could get through the very first one. I was never able to beat the game as a kid. You doing this like this, makes me sick to my stomach LOL! Bravo to you!
This sound track would of worked in an 80s vampire movie.
the audio sounds like a toilet bowl
Is this song on Spotify?
sadly no. this is the album's ending track from the (original) japanese version, spotify sadly only has the US version of the album (p.s. i love your pfp!)
I have NO IDEA what I just saw lmao hahah ;D Half tha GENESIS Games are UNBEATABLE lmao hahah ;D This one needed a GAMEPRO to beat lol lmoa hahah ;D
This is crap. I wanted to see a legit speedrun, not a glitchfest
Ecco has to be the fever dream of an aging hippy, and I love it.
It's amazing
Awesome!
Pink Floyd’s the machine playing at the end was hauntingly fitting
This is incredibly underrated
hated the soundtrack when I was a kid, pure nightmare material.
Спасибо!)
after almost 30 years, still cant beat it lol
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck yea
Rather than speed run it should be called "how much can X game be broken?". 😂
Fuck this game
Oh man, this is so raw. I think this is from their first ever show at a high school? They all became much better musicians over time.
I actually did a speed run but it’s not posted on TH-cam
The reveal of the title song was in astrate
He keeps glitching to stuff
Imagine if the Vortex existed lol
I remember this game when i bought it in sega genesis, NO CLUES NO TALKING NO IDEA WHAT THE FUCK TO DO!! the people that did this game were in drugs 10000%
I'd love to learn how to make all these "sliding" skips !!
You know a game is too hard when the speed run is basically skipping the whole fucking game.
depth bro.
imagine nes games.they all suck but there a few amazing ideas
@@kevintoone3901 I’m just puzzled who this game was marketed for if you have a dolphin as your main character and the game takes like 10 hours to beat.
tf, is the game deeper than it looks?
This is the first type of stranding game
*Glitching shouldn't be admissible as speedruns.*
there are glitchless speedruns, and what's the fun in limiting a way people play games? the point is to see physically how fast it is technically possible to beat. whining about things you don't like isn't a very good way to change things either.
Wait......what's with Pink Floyd at the end?!
How do you play Genesis games *on a Wii?!*
Wonderful video, timeless, and so underrated. I love watching your playthrough. I'm making a youtube documentary video about Ecco the Dolphin with an interview with Ed Annunziata and archive footage from John C Lily. I'd like to know if you'd want to have your video featured in the doc?
Wow this looks tedious.
Avgn is right ECCO also somehow appeared in my collection as well and I didn't get much further than him as a kid. Very cryptic game
I'm here thanks to avgn. It brought back memories of me and my nephew trying to figure out what the hell to do in this game. We never got passed the 3rd level. We always agreed that this game, the music, the way it looked, gave us the freakiest of vibes, and that's even after beating Shadow of the Beast.
Anyone here from AVGN?
Here lol
reporting for doody.
Really a work of art
kino
Producers: play as a dolphin! me: nice! Producers: swim through the ocean! me: cool! Producers: travel through time! me: oh...um...okay! Producers: fight aliens! me: ...what? Producers: kill their queen for kidnapping your pod! me: are you okay?
Geez it took me so long to get to the last level and final boss in this game. It really makes me happy to see someone give the middle finger to the game and use those glitches to get through it.
Holy shit. All these years, and I never knew any of these exploits. Also you aced The Machine like it was NOTHING. Damn good show!
One of the best Root songs
Nářez
You playing a Wii or Wii U ?
12:09 ?
quem veio pelo meteoro brasil da like
I remember when I was a kid, this was not advertised as a weird alien game, just "you're a dolphin and you talk to other creatures like Flipper...", that and Free Willy and Seaquest came out and then Jurassic Park came out and wiped all the neat sea creature shows out of the zeitgeist and replaced them with dinosaur media.
The greatest horror game ever made.
I've been having nightmares about this game recently for some reason. Glad I'm not the only one who found it terrifying, lol!
@@wikeni9096 same! the reason is I never knew there were aliens and the final boss... oh gosh
@@wikeni9096 You're not the only one who sometimes has nightmares about it. I'm revisiting Ecco videos today because I thought about it today in fact. As a kid I played this alot. Beat it with invincibility cheat code at first because it was too difficult doing it without it. Once I understood where to go and what to do in every level after beating it with the cheat, it didn't feel right to me until I beat it normally. It took awhile but eventually I learned to beat the game normally, with no cheats or exploits. I put it down for good eventually until the sequels came out and I cant remember if I beat those, but I do remember playing them alot. It's odd that I remember the first one so well though. Anyway, as a kid I always liked going in the ocean to get wet, but overtime as an adult I've developed a phobia to go in too deep into the ocean and I think Ecco is a huge part why I have that phobia. I used to swim out pretty far out into the ocean. Once I swam beyond where the waves even form and that's when a strong current almost took me. I had to swim out of it as hard as I can. I had to quite literally swim for my life. That was such a frightening experience that I never attempted such a thing again and now I only stay close to the shore during the rare occasions I decide to go in. I wont go deeper than my waist level which also begins to give me the chills. Now as an adult, every few years I will eventually think of the first Ecco game, and I'll sometimes even have a bit of a nightmare about it. Now when I think of the ocean, I can only think of all the dark scary thinks in its depths. Strangely I love visiting aquariums to look at sea life without consequence, and yet I think of Ecco at the same time every time I visit an aquarium. To think this game can have such a mental impact on you is crazy. Believe me, you're not the only one.
@@ggodhand3559ocean is scary only if you go very deep. On the beach is alright
This game was so gd hard. And terrifying when I was a kid.
I can't tell which closing track on this album I like more: "No Sleep Til I Become Hollow" or "And I Want."
Is this song on Spotify?
