Great reveal! Loved those grades!
Quite a few years ago, during football season, i walked into a local sports card shop in Jacksonville, Florida and went through their $1-5 box of basketball cards. I learned decades ago that you get the best value and/or deals when you buy cards during the off season, similar to buying Summer clothes in the Winter and vice versa! So, when I was looking through their $1-$5 basketball boxes, i came across this young, up and coming player, who had NOT yet became a star and that player's name was Stephen Curry. I purchased a Stephen Curry Rookie Jersey Card for $3.00, yes, $3.00! When i got back homes, I used a soft paper towel, gently wiped it off, placed it in a penny sleeve and top loader and threw it into "my" box of basketball rookies. Well, as of today, that card is selling RAW for $300.00 to $350.00 and i have seen PSA 7's sell for $720 and the one I have, i know is way better than a PSA 7, so i will be getting that card graded with PSA and hope to get at least a PSA 8.

@@macstener5295 I’m meticulous when I submit. I inspect with magnifying and measuring tool for centering. I inspect all corners and edges with magnifying. I know what a 10 is yet I’ve got 8-9s with perfect cards and 10a with cards off center. It’s a scam if you ask me. Wish the industry would move towards TAG who uses all computer measures metrics. No human error
I have Pujols Topps Chrome & Topps Chrome Traded rookies both in PSA 10's....... Bought them around 15 years ago.

@@creeper2054 definitely get my fair share of bad orders too. But I’ve been thinking about doing a pre submission video or a mail day video. Just something different than a reveal anyway. Hopefully I’ll get it done one of these days!

@@macstener5295 thanks mac, it seems you've found some success with cracking 9's and receiving 10's. In your opinion has psa laxed their standards lately?
@@Rhall6451 I’ve felt the opposite. This video was 2 orders, 1 of them I had a very favorable grader and the other was decent as well. But overall I feel I’ve been getting destroyed on far more orders than I used to. 2 of every 5 orders it seems I’m getting a grader that is under grading a lot of cards. I hate to complain about it but it seems to happen far more then it used to.
I didn’t see anything on that JJ auto 6 initially either, weird. You see anything after you cracked it? (assuming you did/will) 👍 Love that Cracker Jack Molina 👌 I always enjoy your player selection and results 🔥

With that Brady the fake ones backs are flipped from top to bottom. Look at a psa graded copy and see if the back is flipped differently than yours
@@volcanicfreshair thank you!! It is flipped the wrong way. Kind of scary how legit it looks other than that. Colors may be a little off and looks a bit dull if you really look in to it. I appreciate the info!
How are you going about cracking the new slabs they are so difficult in my mind
@@schmoe5070 they are a pain. I snip the top corners and then take a side cutters and just snip around 3/4 of the slab. Kind of half way into the seal. Basically at the point where it still cuts through easily and snips off a thin chunk of plastic all the way around. Then I pry it open like normal. It’s a little more time consuming but it seems to help with weakening that seal so it pops when you pry it apart instead of just bending and not coming a part. That may not make sense haha. But yeah they really suck to crack compared to the old slabs.
@@macstener5295 yeah I tried just the old normal way and the sides didn’t want to open that is good to know . Gonna have to get some side cutters
@@schmoe5070 there may be a better way too. but somehow weakening that seal so it snaps out instead of bending the new rubbery slab, that’s my thought process anyway.

I think PSA is loosening up slightly on their requirements recently. I just got an order of 90s cards back that had multiple 10s which would have had no shot at a 10 a year ago
@@BireliLangerhans definitely a big human factor. I’ve felt the opposite. One of these orders was a very favorable grader. But way too many orders lately I’m just getting hammered on grades. Compared to a year ago when I’d just get 1 rough one very rarely. But who knows. suppose it’s all just in who you get and how they’re grading that day or how much they follow the PSA requirements.

But yeah super excited for the upcoming season.. very happy with the draft, glad we were able to get a QB and Dallas turner falling to us was crazy. I am hoping for another big year for JJettas!

isn't the upper left corner on the red Kelce card bent? you only showed it for a second at the right angle, but I could swear I saw a bent corner, which would justify a 6 grade when combined with the other soft corners
@@gradedcards5516 little white on it and a scuff on the case faintly goes through that area. But I don’t see anything on the surface or edge that looks like a bend or crease.
They hammer the expensive cards because they know people will crack and re sub.
Tough go of it this round but some really nice cards! Love the variety 👍🏻

@macstener5295 truth is it will get higher grade I'm sure that's how psa is I see how people Crack out low grades resubmit the same exact card and get different grades I only worry about serial numbered cards they might know
@@joelkaplan2157 I’ve re graded serial numbered cards and gotten different grades. It is pretty low numbered though. They’d have to pull the scans of the graded copies and match serial numbers. Which by all means they could but I’m going to guess that no one is taking the time to do that. Turns a 30 second assessment into an unnecessary amount of time. But they definitely could.
