My American college was way tougher than this. 90% of the class got a 50% on an midterm exam because it was 2 questions and the first question wasn't in the scope of the course. Half of the students dropped out and I was tutoring students in other classrooms who were letter grades higher than me.

And in Poland you can have 182 sick days and for pregnancy and tuberculosis 270 days. After this you can have a rehabilitation allowance but not always. For pregnancy this days are 100% paid and for other sickness 80%.
