Theo, while not even on my list of favorite Temp lead singers, is one of the most underrated R&B singers of all time. He is a fantastic vocalist. Had he not stepped into the shoes of the likes of the incomparable David Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and the mighty Ali Ollie Woodson, he might have been known as one of the great Temp leads but he was just not on the level of the great Temp leads.

I wished I had seen this b4 but, I've see it since and I'm glad. It made me cry to see that powerful Levi Stubbs still trying to entertain us with a love song one last time 😢

What a voice...

I remember meeting this guy on the Temptations and Four Tops tour in 2005 whilst singing bvs for Chris Clarke who opened their show each night... where I met my late producer Al McKenzie who was the MD on the tour at the time and Ronnie Mac.. bless them. We did England Scotland and Wales... I still have the CD he gave me with some songs he recorded and said they would be better suited to a female vocalist. I will never forget that experience with the whole Motown crew and Shelly Burger.. meeting their family members and my kids being able to attend the shows also.. what a great time.

Profiles in Pittsburgh this is such an amazing song Come Enchanted Evening I was 13 years old when I went to see the play in Pittsburgh Allegheny County PA. My father had just passed away and my mother got tickets for me and my sister and my cousin cuz my brother did not want to go to it. But only voice is so amazing to be so young that I didn't notice all the different people actors in it I seen on the screen in the movie house at the Hippodrome theater. But see you will always be in my mind because of this magnificent voice of his that no one can imitate. Thank you for having him a temptation for a moment in time for all of us fans. I'm not sure how but it seems like we slept on him when you talk about the temptations of course David will always be first because of my girl and all the early success then you got to put dentist there because he has to Grammys and their preachers voice you got to give Ali Wilson the next spot treat her like a Lady put the temptations back on the map and here comes his protege yes to me sounds like olly Wilson but I have to give it to him stay was the biggest hit the temptation had had as a matter of fact it's probably the last big radio hit he really captured their sound then he shows it versatility by becoming a four top and he did Justice to Levi's subs sounds just like him it was amazing!!!

Got to admit I kind of slept on this guy but when you look back at the great leads of The temptations of course David Ruffin will always be number one Dennis Edwards who is my personal favorite since he was the lead during on the Christmas CD that they play every year Ollie Wilson and this young man Theo peoples who knocked it out the park with the Phionx rising album I must admit I thought that was Ollie Wilson at first so he has to go down as one of the greatest then when I hurt him do Levie Studs part in the 4 Tops there's no doubt this young man could really sing anything!!!

Few are born with a God-Given voice. Theo is one.

Met Theo before he was in the Tempts. Met him in the Dugans on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, Ga. We all got drunk and started singing. Of Course we were all blown away by his voice. This was the early 90's.
