    hello, can you give us the references of the engine, the propeller, the battery, and the controller? Weight and center point? thank you

    • @joshaas
      @joshaas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not build the plane, i did only fly it in, so i do not now everything about it, the only thing i now is that the engine is a very small hobbyking brushless motor with 1000 rpm/volt, the prop i do not now, but i think its a 5x4,5 or something like that, the controller is a 20 amp also from hobbyking, the battery is a zippy compact 3 cell lipo with 1000 mah, with the center point u have to experiment, i did put it 1/3 from the front of the wing, without wind you can go a little to the back, with more wind you have place more weight on the nose, a build like this its not a fast flying plane, but its fun for a few euros, the led lights he did get from the action store for 2 euro one wing, so 4 euro for the light's

      @@joshaas thank a lot for your answer. That's ll be helpful. I don't like the fast plane either. I'll look to the small engine. Have a nice flights all my best from France.

    Interesting, but I do not think this test is complete. The fact that the servo (especially an analogue one) runs on low voltage without any load is not surprising. The issue will be that at voltage below rated, the servo will not produce as much torque, and it might not be enough to move the control surfaces (especially at high airspeed). It would be interesting is to see what useable torque the servo produces at low voltage. Oh, and how does that Raven flies? :)

    • @joshaas
      @joshaas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea its all i can do at the moment, normaly it would be better to take them out, and test them in my servo testing bench, but for now i did not have te time to do so, for me te nameless brand that i did find in my Raven was scary for me, how wil they do on the longrun, i do not now, as soon when i get the time, i make a maiden video of the Raven, for now i say i do not think that you can get any beter plane for this kind of money, i did pay 150 euro, 10% of the normal price

    • @pierauspitz
      @pierauspitz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joshaas I can understand that expecting Emax and seeing those "things" instead might be a shock (especially in a not-so-cheap glider). But they look like HK's basic Turnigy hxt, which do not have a terrible reputation, so it might not be too bad...

    • @joshaas
      @joshaas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah i think you are wright, i also did think that they where turnigy xt, for me the main thing is that they do work on 1s lipo, and i now that manny do, the chips almost all workt on 3,3 volt, but it always the same if they still are strong enough, and what i see they are, but its always a compromise, you aways lose strength at 1s lipo, but you safe a few grams, ich kan auch ein bisschen deutsch, ich bin Holländer, und ich wohne in Holland, aber 300 meter von die Deutsche grenze, 😉

    • @pierauspitz
      @pierauspitz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ich kann auch Deutsch, aber ich bin von Elsass ;) One possibility could be to use a DC/DC voltage booster. Small ones weight maybe 2-3g and deliver 5V 2A. That would allow to run your RX and servos from a 1S battery without servo power loss.

    • @joshaas
      @joshaas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but i do not like the spikes they create on my scope, manny have a bad noise filters, maybe not all, but i have teste 3 and they are very bad, when you pull a bit of current the filters do not work properly like they shut, you can always put your own filter and the receiver, i like when its clean, and nothing is as clean as only battery 😉, than i would do a 2s and a few diodes, also very clean, but all is more weight, maybe you now a good one, tips are always welcome

      I ask the pilot and owner tot answer your questions, I only now that he did do a 30% mixer in te transmitter to the ailerons and rudder, so when you move the ailerons the rudder moves to with 30%, and he did do 50% expo on the ailerons, than you will have a smooth plane, on the tail rudder and elevator the expo is only 30%, but like I say I ask him to answer your question here

    • @joshaas
      @joshaas 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay i did ask him, he has that mixer what i did say, with 30% rudder mix with the ailerons, the expo on the ailerons is 50%, and no expo on the tail, but max rate of the elevator is 80%, the receiver is the graupner GR16, I hope it helps
