Been starting beach fishing this year, I’m usually in the rivers. Been fishing browns point in federal way. Any tips on when they might show up down there? Seems like there’s been a few caught but not many at all and mostly from the boat. Thinking of heading up to area 9 when it opens in a few days
On the beach right now is going to be hard. I would head up north where it is open and fish the pier. The pier is open to fishing.

@@duckwacker8720 browns point is a neighborhood, not a city. Lmao. You’re right it’s pierce county but anybody who lives here considers it fed. Too far up to be northeast Tacoma, and it’s not a city. Technically not fed but it doesn’t get any closer. Same as dash point. Lmao no local will tell you dash point is not in federal way, even though it’s in pierce.
@@duckwacker8720 wild that out of everything you decided to inform me that browns point isn’t in federal way 🤣 either you live there and don’t want to be grouped in with federal way people (which is insane but wouldn’t surprise me) or you don’t live around here and thought you were telling me something I didn’t already know. Grew up on that beach flippin rocks at low tide looking for crabs.
What is your rod and reel setup? I am going to try beach/pier fishing this year and trying to sort out the gear. I feel the buzzbombs are def the go-to lures it seems. Thanks in advance

Nice job on your pinks. Still a lot of pinks today 8-18-21 at bush point . i only go for coho on possession beaches mostly coho there no pinks. nice video.
I just moved to Olympia from Central Cali and have never fished for salmon. I can't wait to give it a try 😄👍
Give it a try. Every odd year pink salmon run and it make it really easy to catch them.
