What happens to a gut pile left in the woods?
My friends son left the remains of a nice 8 point in the woods. I wanted to see how long it would take for the family of bears to get into it. Interesting results.

They make short work of them around here in NY as well. My dad’s pile of barn cats and my 40 plus free range layer chickens get my gut piles and carcass to feed on a few days then I bring them to the other wild critters what’s left. Grab a back pack and start walking the trails and by the time hunting starts you will have found a good spot. You will need three or four spots because of all the other hunters doing the same thing. If you go now bring a bucket and harvest blackberries. Really good. Paw paws will be out in September and October. Hope to see you out there. Check out the Suffolk side as well.

I have caught many as large as your hand which is big for them. Rarely I have caught big bluegill. There are so many otter I think they have wiped the fish out. I counted over 10 one day I thought they were going to attack one time. That place can get very rough very quick, I got caught on the calm side once and had to go back to the rough side and could not find the canal!
