I was about to say the same thing, just stick to nice marine grade pure tinned copper barrel connector with either good quality heatshrink on top or with already existing heatshrink jacket to seal off any moisture that can cause oxidation. Wago style are ok and probably acceptable because I start to see them being sold at home depot now BUT they're NOT watertight or moisture resistant either unless version with dielectric grease inside. Just twisting together (regardless of style/way) without mechanical connection like screw down or wire nut are not reliable or accepted in US codes either. In any types of connections if it means break in wire it should be in approved and accessible box/enclosure for future troubleshooting in case that connection ever develops an issue.

​​​​​​@@DavidBerquist334Yes, this is a "German" socket (Type F), but it is used in many other countries at least in Europe. The colours of wires in Europe are mostly the ones shown in the video nowadays, but in older houses they might be different because the standard colours have changed
