What is the reason for frequent E14 error on dishwasher.. i replaced the inlet chamber twice and now again getting the error... Technician complains on water hardness..... Wat are your thoughts on a 600ppm TDS water hardness...to me it looks normal...
Hi John, Many thanks for this video. Saved me a lot of money and the dishwasher works again after replacing the flowsensor (reed contact). Yes, the reed contact comes in a package😅 we don't need the plastic cover. Just remove from the package and install.🎉 Thx again.
I DON'T THINK IT IS JUST A PACKAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WOULDN'T HAVE GOT TO SUCH A GREAT LENGTH JUST FOR A PACKAGE. I THINK THAT AS IT STANDS THERE, IT IS INTENDED FOR ANOTHER MACHINE BRAND. IT JUST HAPPENS THAT THE REED SWITCH AND LITTLE BOARD IS THE SAME AS THE ONE USED ON THE BOSCH MACHINE.
Very helpful. Symptoms E14 on Short wash and E18 on Normal wash and halted mid-cycle. Replaced the flow sensor / reed switch circuit board and now appears to be working.
Dude !!!!! Thanks so much. You just saved my old one that was from 2009. I’m not a DIY guy at all but this was so easy to change. For £22 you saved me 400+ and a lot of raw material saved for the planet. Thanks !!!
I've written this elsewhere on TH-cam, but it is possible to replace just the reed switch itself. I bought one for less than £2 and swapped it for the one that's on the little piece of white circuit board that you replaced. It needs soldering of course, but isn't a difficult fix.
@@MarshallsMusic I'd share if I could, but it was a while ago because the component came from Maplins, and they closed the stores in 2018. What i can tell you is that the reed switch was a little glass envelope job and was about 2cm long not including the leads. It might have been smaller than that. I think it was 'normally open' but can't be sure.
Why would they provide such an extra piece of plastic with that shape if only for packaging... It would cause confusion to most people. And a total waste of the earth's resources
Great video and extremely useful. I already had the replacement part but, as you suggest, had been confused by the plastic packaging. Switch now replaced and appliance back to working order. Thanks!
Muchas gracias por el video. El lavavajillas Bosch (SMS58M08EU/02) tenía el error E14. Marcaba el indicador del grifo y el error E14. Fue cambiar el contacto dosificador del caudalímetro y ya funciona. (me costó 25.35€ iva incluido)
Does water hardness play any role in E14 error ??

Do you know anything about the reed switch that they use ? Part number or specs of the switch it self
Fantastically helpful. Has saved me from throwing away a perfectly good dishwasher. Thank you.
Hi Sir, I’m from Vietnam. Thank you for your video! is it the same for model SMS63L08EA (made in Turkey).
The E14 error appears after the process is done.
Thank you SOOO much! Easy and you saved me hundreds of dollars 🙏
Just wondering if this part will fit any Bosch dishwasher with the E-14 error code? Thanks

Same error codes happened for me. The water intake and plumbing was all good. Switches the reed switch and no more e14 and e18 error codes anymore

Hi. Do you have details of the component that wouldn’t mind sharing ? I was also thinking about this instead of spending £15 . Thanks.

OMG, surely people didn't think that the packaging also had to be installed? If so, please don't try and fix yourself.

Be careful with the glass reed switch pipe while handling, once it's broken humidity can get inside and corrode the paddles.

Hi I'm currently fixing the same problem but I don't really know how to look the part? Could you help me with a shop/link please? Thank you!
