Lucid Air Pure is a Solid EV... But is it right for you?
In this video, Justin takes the Lucid Air Pure for a quick drive and goes over the features that it has. The Lucid Air Pure is a great electric sedan and is a very capable electric sedan. It's excellent build quality and luxurious ride truly lives up to its six Figure price tag with only a few caveats.

Thinking about the Lucid Air Pure? In this review, I dive into why this solid EV impresses with its spacious interior, superior comfort, and impressive speed. The Lucid Air Pure offers an exceptional driving experience that is both luxurious and practical.
The interior of the Lucid Air Pure stands out with its ample space, providing a comfortable environment for both the driver and passengers. Whether you're on a short commute or a long road trip, the cabin is designed to ensure a pleasant journey.
When it comes to performance, the Lucid Air Pure doesn't disappoint. It's quick and responsive, making it a joy to drive. The advanced technology and engineering behind this vehicle truly shine on the road.
However, is it the right choice for you? While it shines in many areas, there are some drawbacks worth mentioning. One of the main issues is the unreliable Electrify America charging network, which can be a hassle for long-distance travel. This can be a significant consideration for those who frequently embark on long journeys.
We also take a closer look at how the Lucid Air Pure compares to the Tesla Model S. The Model S is a similar car in many ways and is overall better in several aspects, including its charging infrastructure and performance. Tesla's Supercharger network is more extensive and reliable, which can be a major advantage.
Despite its advantages, the Tesla Model S may not be the best family car. In contrast, the Lucid Air Pure offers a more spacious and family-friendly design, making it a viable option for those needing a versatile vehicle. The practicality of the Lucid Air Pure as a family car is one of its standout features.
Find out if the Lucid Air Pure is the perfect fit for your needs! Whether you're looking for comfort, speed, or practicality, this review covers all the essential details to help you make an informed decision. From daily commutes to family road trips, the Lucid Air Pure aims to deliver a well-rounded experience.

5 Surprising Insights From Starting Our Car Rentals Company
Where was the math
You’re forgetting that you can sell the car after three years if you bought it…
So don't buy anything got ot
This half baked analysis supports Rivian’s non-transparent leasing ads. in California you’d need to pony up close to $20k including taxes upfront that alone adds $560 per month of amortized 36 months. their registrations and other fees , which many won’t discover until after they make non-refundable deposit, are also significant.
Loving this new darker "stealth" grey. Looks more sophisticated. Almost looks black blue in darker lighting or is that just my impression?
Does the tesla end lock into the adapter? I want to use my Tesla mobile charger for another EV but don't want the Tesla cord stolen... Thanks in advance!
Is there a balloon pmt at the end of the lease?
Is that the math?
@7:48 tried to go for that stalk 🤣
This video had amazing potential but it felt like you dropped the ball on it. It felt like you hadn't read anything about the car, it's options, how your unit is specced, or who the direct competitors are. Even in internal documents Tesla doesn't consider Lucid a competitor because they target different markets and approach cars in 2 different ways. You didn't know your facts, were on your phone while driving, compared a Pure to a plaid(??) despite the 3-motor Sapphire existing and the Pure being the lowest-end trim in the lineup. It felt like someone just handed you the car and you had to make everything up on the fly. I know you can make quality content and thar you know how, it just felt like this video wasn't up to your standards and misrepresented the car as a result.
texting while driving = epic fail
Imo study the car before making videos. Rim size, suspension, acceleration specs - “correct me if I’m wrong” why make video then?
Woot woot🎉🎉🎉
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO LUCID🏆🏁 FAMILY 🙋♂️♥️WOOHOO!😀🥳🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉🕺🕺🕺🙌💎💎💎💎KEEP ADDING ON TO YOUR LUCID POSITIONS EVERYONE STAY FOCUSED BE DISCIPLINE HARD WORK DEDICATION GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!😉👍🫡💯
….I don’t think that is how you determine if a lease is worth it…
It might not be but its a mad impressive deal for what the car offers. Getting a 630/month deal on a near 6 figure car is great. People are paying that much for 60k cars lol
I definitely like the Lucid a lot. As a car from a functional view. Robust and sleek look. Sturdy looking power frunk. Trunk is awkward yeah. Definitely would like to get hands on to see the software to get a feel for it. I'm quite young so any car with half-assed and laggy software bugs me to no end. I play games in 144 fps above. Wish I had someone to speak to that thinks with an open mind. I end up speaking to my mother about it, but she's rather focused on "Its so low! I won't get it. Those guys will have back issues." Or "Tesla is more practical". And I agree, but that's not my topic right now. What I was talking about was how nice looking and how much I love the lucid from a viewer's perspective.
Forgot to mention the $7-8k down + registration fees
I THINK IT looks like a Tesla plaid dark Knight edition okay y'all
That look sexy! Don’t care for red looks cute like candy tho
I agree they've taken some of the personality out of the driving experience.
How much down to get it at $639 a month. 25k ?
Exactly!
Around 10k
$8500 down
Great video!👍
Don't waste money on the max pack. It only adds like 15 miles over large pack. Avoid the standard pack. You should not be anywhere near 100K for this. I'm not sure I understand why you quoted 115K.
I think a better comparison would be the R1S quad motor to the Plaid.
i love this car smm
Wow!
Looks great!
Great video👍
Does the self grade look dirty in real life like it kind of does in videos? Thanks
Honestly I think it’s a little too dark, I agree just like a black vehicle it shows dirt and dust rather quickly
Curious to know your impressions and experience with quality, durability, and reliability. Thanks for the video.
Initial impression interior seems to be built with better materials - we will know quickly once the renters get their hands on the car 😂
love it!!! LOL I agree with the horn thing😂 have to release the rage on the steering…
I took delivery of my reengineered M3 LR in stealth grey black interior in March absolutely love it, first EV. Car is gorgeous, comfortable, quiet, extremely fast. Ithe tech and minimalism are amazing PHX AZ
Great first EV, Imo best bang for the buck EV you can buy and that will hold true to me until they refresh the model Y! Let us know if you have any questions or tips we can help!
Great initial review video! Wishing I could get to drive one someday🤞
Let’s get you in one!
what's with this funny username the tesla rental guy?
First Name: Tesla Last Name: Guy I blame my mother
@@TheTeslaRentalGuy the problem is "rental" you have a sad life
Enjoying the EV9. We are also seeing better than advertised range in the GT line - have seen 300+ as well. Great, roomy buy.
How many miles do you have ? Any issues build quality wise ?
@@TheTeslaRentalGuy 1,372 miles. No issues yet save for a glitch with the tire pressure monitor (resolved in first week) and my wife thinking something in the car was a load bearing hook that wasn’t remotely so and snapped it, fixed by dealer. We’ve had it just two months or so.
rainbow colors = woke
Lame
#lame
Actually, no, this is not lame, you’re just jealous that your car doesn’t do this. Plus, Teslas have so many cool features that are not lame so please respect them.
Yes, terrific. Agree with you 100%. The lower income folks won’t understand and that’s ok.
Tested driving both. R1S drives like a truck. Not a SUV. EV9 is much easier to drive
I’m a truck guy - so that makes sense to me why I liked the R1S drive better!
you got it flipped. Blue when not charging and green when charging 😉 . No worries thought, keep up the great work man!
I always get it mixed up - you’d think I’d have that down by now! I know it’s charging when my phone alerts me😂
Went from Model Y to R1S Performance Dual, 21's, Std+ pack and love it more. Drove 800 miles and actually not horrible with non tesla charging, just have to plan longer trips and hope to get lucky with EvGo and EA or others. Waiting for my Tesla SC adapter but have a Tesla level 2 adapter now. Love the premium interior over Tesla.
Agreed my R1S max pack is my personal favorite EV if budget isn’t a concern. Model Y is still best bang for the buck!
You'll own nothing and be happy as a person
No
What makes you say No?!
@@TheTeslaRentalGuyyour spending an exorbitant amount of money to not own a car I could own a car for that price and be better off in all aspects especially if I’m a high earner I also personally don’t like teslas I don’t like the company and the cars have a really poor track record
They really don't have a poor track record but you do you.
@@surviver5738 lmao
Idk man the red with the black wheels is a show stopper.
ya your wrong on the price of the plaid, the pricees dropped, with tax like 100k max now
I have the blue and white performance Y, I love it!
It’s the best spec :)
you have not driven in Thailand yet
You are correct
5-10k overpriced imo, but once they build it with native nacs next year, here in GA so it qualifies for half to ALL the tax credit? I bet they also streamline the trims and drop prices by 5k or so. A 60k or less well loaded mid spec version could move some nice volumes.
Agreed, I think the biggest thing about buying a KIA is a good price point. They need to carry that over to the EV's to be competitive imo
I think Gjeebs statement on ranges for the EV9 GT-Line is incorrect. It's 270 stated by Kia to begin with. 300 is their single motor. Also thought this was a comparison video? Didn't really compare the EV9 to the R1S at the same detail or context?
Appreciate the feedback! We have a point to make a more formal outline and focus on a few details vs having casual banter. In the comparison videos I wanted it to be organic and be the first time I'm looking at a car but it makes it less helpful for viewers.
Re: EV9 range. Out-of-spec drove both the GT and the single-motor together on same route and saw same range. All depends on how you drive it. We’re mostly city and have seen better than advertised range.
Can I get one for free 😂
