Thank you for this tutorial! I used it to install a new OEM grill and moulding after the originals were heavily damaged by a piece up wood getting kicked up on the freeway. I would make a suggestion to make this process easier. Remove the two bolts that hold the hood release and cable, tuck those back, and you'll have much better access to the eight screws behind the grill. Struggling to work your arm around the hood release is an additional point of frustration and bruising. I used the heat gun from your link and it worked beautifully. It heated up the tape, I was able to easily pry it off, and reapply it to the new grill. Sweet! Also the microbit ratchet you linked was the magic needed to get this job done.

This is the best tutorial on TH-cam. You explained and demonstrated all the steps perfectly. I literally changed both filters in a little over 5 minutes.

If anyone is wondering, you can pull like 3,000 lbs with a Crosstrek. I wouldn't recommend, but it has been done

I know this an old video but I have some input for the fog lights. Instead of replacing the bulb you can get online 'yellow film' that clings to the light shell. Just cut to fit and stick on. EZ and inexpensive. I've done this on several motorcycles and cars.

Went to my dealership today for something and they recommended a new battery. Its a 21 Crosstrek with 52K miles. They wanted $630 to replace the battery! 😂 I had to ask them to repeat that number because I couldn’t believe it. Yeah that ain’t gonna happen. I called Auto Zone and theyve got an AGM for $250. They used to install batteries as a courtesy. Id just tip the tech cash. They said they dont do installs on the stop/start batteries for whatever reasons. I hate that stop start nonsense and disable it every time I start the car. Subaru is making life more expensive and more complicated just to virtue signal. 🤦‍♂️ Looks like im gonna have to pay someone to install this thing. My back is shot. Lifting the battery and putting it in in that awkward position would just kill my back. But hey? It wont be $630!!

Is there only 1 stock horn? There’sa videos that says there are 2 stock horns. 1 would be under the passenger headlight. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What kind of attachment did you use on your impact driver to get the wheels off?

I'll just tell everyone here. I lifted my Trek (2021 base) 1.5" . I love the lift but I think if you went 22565r17 with an aggressive tire you could achieve the same thing and they look awesome on the car. I have stock size 22560r17 Wildpeaks. Love the tire but with I would have went with the 65s as they are a little higher. The one thing I didn't know before is that this car comes stock with a +40 offset wheel , which keeps the tire and wheel inside the wheel well. I would also go either 0 degree offset and or 235s to have the tire stand out a bit more.

What PSI were you running on your Crosstrek?

these filter are great on racing cars with high revs......seen a test of these filters (believe it was on youtube) and they do work, low to mid range revs it doesnt do much but at higher revs it makes a diffence. Like you compared running with a mask on, walking and jumping boulders no problem, 100 meters sprint with full power it will be harder to breathe

So, you're just going to work on that car being suspended by 2 cent rubber o-rings in that hydraulic jack. Updated your life insurance! DON'T EVER DO THIS! Use solid jack stands.

I might try this however what I'll do is probably buy a replacement Upper Case (46051FL010) that I'll modify then put the factory one back on if I need any warranty work on it (since I have just under 30,000 miles and wish to keep my warranty).

Nice job! I just purchased a GX and same thing, no tow hitch. Seems like the best option as I don’t really need to take advantage of the full 6500 lb tow rating. Thanks again.👍🏼

Hi, do you warm up the engine before proceeding? Assume yes because otherwise you dont get the oil in the cooling circuit at the front... But then i see you getting your end full of oil without burning yourself...

Don't go bigger than 225/65/17 unless you have an Outback. You aren't gaining anything.

Thanks for this. My 2021 Crosstrek provided the challenge on this. Saturday, we were headed north on the interstate and entered a heavy rain area. We maintained speed, and put the wipers on high to get the heavy rain off the windshield. I slowed to get in the right lane and slow a little, and when I did, the wiper blades bot flew off the arms and behind us. Being the calm guy that I am, I was able to shut the wipers off and pull over safely. Had I not been that guy, there very well could have been a crash from this event, This blade design is a bad one. I have never had that happen in any vehicle I have driven, in over 50 years of driving!
