First video shot from our Mavic Pro Platinum drone launched and retrieved on our boat. Dark Horse is a 2007 Beneteau 49. There were many dolphins around, but sadly no whale sightings this time out. It was still a beautiful day to welcome the new year!

Flew my Mavic Pro Platinum drone today and captured this spectacular image of the awesome energy produced by the Sun. Used a ND16/PL filter.

These are just a few of my first flights with my new Mavic Pro Platinum.

The Pass! During this year's Beneteau Cup race in San Diego, my friend Dan raced Alakazam, a Beneteau Oceanis 41 (sans spinnaker) and this is one of the few passes we enjoyed against some stiff competition :-)

On new year's day 2012, we had a beautiful sunset sail on Dark Horse with friends and came upon a dozen grey whales migrating south off the coast of San Diego, California to their breeding and caving grounds in Mexican waters. (In this new version I used more color saturation and correctly identified the whales as grey whales not humpbacks.)
