I think one of the funniest things about Welsh was the fact that got promoted to Sgt. THREE TIMES before he ever shipped out of the states because he kept getting demoted for throwing hands so much. Also he was the only person with the balls to slap Speirs hand away and even Speirs didn't push the issue. 😂

Мне было до глубины души обидно, когда в последней серии последнего сезона Утред вспомнил всех, кого потерял, кроме Осферта. Его не было в его воспоминаниях и это причинило мне слишком сильную боль, возможно, я даже почувствовала предательство... Да, я знаю, что они были друг другу почти как братья и Утред ценил его в любом случае, однако как можно было не вспомнить человека, который тоже прошёл с тобой так много (даже при учёте того, что он не видел его смерть своими глазами, можно было включить в этот момент какое-то счастливое воспоминание, как, например, с его женой)? Либо это прокол сценаристов, либо я не знаю. Но, честно говоря, было действительно обидно.

Leofric was one of my favourite characters in The Last Kingdom… the brotherhood he stuck with Uhtred was special.

This show is criminally underrated

And he did exactly that. The Westbury White Horse marking the site of Edington is visible from my parents' village, I won't be able to see it again without thinking of Leofric, and all the real men, their names lost to history, who died there.

Anyone who lived in that era would wonder how. How a Dane who’s sense of honour lies in his identity as a warrior, fights alongside a Saxon monk who doesn’t understand his need for aggression and a wilful Irish man who looks at them not with hostility but with allegiance. Hw have they come to make compromises with one another.

Ngl osferths death made me tear up a bit especially seeing Finnans reaction to it all

The respect, admiration and love Alfred had for Leofric, Alfred never shows anyone the same devotion at all during the whole series, Leofric was truly his man
