    The OAuth2 Deprecations feel scary to me because some of my old projects actually implement old tokens and different implementations showing how to make them use OAuth2 refresh tokens and so on. It seems like I'm soon facing major refactorings on my applications ! 😱. I find the One Time login very interesting to explore. The login page for reactive DSL feels long overdue to me, but they must have their reasons. Thanks for sharing the video.

    Hello, sir. I encountered a problem when I was studying the spring authorization server samples. When I was using demo-authorizationserver, message-resource, and demo-client, I found that when I logged in with user1, there was a personal information authorization and a client authorization, and they were consecutive. When I logged in with user2, only the personal information authorization appeared once, and the client information authorization did not appear. I did not change any code, but just added a user2. Why does this happen? Sorry, I don't know if this is worth submitting an issue, so I ask you in this way. Thank you.

    • @coffeesoftware
      @coffeesoftware 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      First, thanks for the feedback. Second, the best way to get help, is to create a repository that replicates the issue, with the steps to replicate the issue. (That goes for any open source software and its a great skill to have). Share the repo with us here, or over on BlueSky: bsky.app/profile/starbuxman.joshlong.com and bsky.app/profile/dashaun.com

    Not sure who asks for these features. Writing some magic placeholders inside plain SQL is really confusing. You have no clue at the end where the value comes from. All SQL parameters and inputs should always just be directly mapped and not magically appear or be injected from some custom extensions. What used to be simple interface for writing queries has turned into mess by allowing such behaviours. When testing this code now you always would have to provide additional context every time.

    • @coffeesoftware
      @coffeesoftware 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's typically how open source software works. Someone shares a need, someone fills that need with a new feature, sometimes its the same person. Luckily, you don't have to use that feature if you don't want to!

    Honestly, I've been standing on "both sides of the barricade" for the past two decades and I kinda have to agree with the original video regarding the perception. I started as a Java dev back in the mid 2000s and then switched to JS/TS around 2015 when the web revolution started. Now I'm back on Java (Spring Boot) and I really do seriously enjoy it. But coming from JS/TS landscape really does FEEL similar to what the guy is describing. E.g. it's mostly impossible to find any online Java communities (Slack, Discord, ...) where you can have some semblance to a live chat, contrary to almost any JS technology/project where it feels you can find tons of helpful people any time you need. Also, TH-cam content is nowhere near what JS world has (you advocates guys do a fabulous job, but that's not what I'm referring to). Like, compare JS world where new (hectic) innovations happen and technologies are discovered almost every month, to Java pondering about string interpolation for years (this might be unfair cherry-picked comparison, but again we're talking about perception). Perception is not something you can shake off easily from people's minds and rise of not only JS in last ten years did overshadow any, no matter how great, innovation Java came with, if you try to look at it from higher perspective.

    • @coffeesoftware
      @coffeesoftware 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are always going to be at least two different perspectives. One perspective from inside of the current, modernized ecosystem. Another perspective from the outside, looking in. They will never be the same. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Regarding communities, please take a look at the long-standing, vibrant, and global "Java User Groups" (JUGs) for the direct real-time engagement in your area. Most of them have a Slack/Discord/other, that includes the type of engagement and opportunity that I think you are referring to.

    98% of the bottlenecks in my experience are in inefficient SQL queries or missing or misuse of indecides. You must be writing really bad code if you have to reach for any of these external profilers which digest so much data and never give you any meaningful actionable results and also cost you a lot for all this digestion. Not to mention that these agents don't come for free, they also add overhead. Most of these tools install so much bloat in your cluster or infratructure. Even tracking down few performance issues does not justify any of these commercial tools. All modern databases have query analyizers built in, find your slow queries and fix them.
