Excellent day. Good to catch up with people I had spoken to and some who I hadn’t seen for quite a while.

I'd like learn to be able to monitor and listen. I need something simple and then I need learn how. I'd pay extra for simplicity and a head phone/speaker jack.

Now that's what I call a Shack! Just reading Volumes 2 and 3 of Radio Projects for the Amateur. Hopefully I can get the parts together make some time and get some home construction done (QRP transceiver?). I have a Ubitx. That's fun but something from scratch like when I was young would be nice.

Just found out that this is the highest frequency allowed in the US for Amateurs. Philippines allows amateurs use up to 77GHZ but the question is, what devices makes use of that? lol

I was starting to think I was the only one that wasn't screaming how great it is. Echolink is super convenient and objectively good. However, it dilutes the purity of amateur radio, which is supposed to be RF. During a busy net the Echolink users cause long hang times and generally just walk all over each other trying to talk. I guess in the overall big picture it is a benefit for users to be able to have this technology, but it is definitely not without issues it causes on its own.

Radio royalty....you were in the presence of greatness! I built his Miser 20A linear PSU....but used 2 rewound microwave xformers in it....works a treat! 73 de VK2AOE.

You must still be using apple or something odd to post on youtube and facebook it always has broken emoji's in your titles that do not show on Windows PC's or Android phones. just a suggestion but probably better off not putting them in titles, looks odd having OBJ "The object replacement character" throughout the titles, in this one 2 of them after shack and one after vk3xu. still like your content though, 73
