Your locks are so beautiful 🥰🩷 I just started my locs a little over a month ago and I wanted to know what is your loc maintenance and how does the rest of your hair lock after the initial coils/two strand twist?
@@xx_jahh TYSM! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 My routine is very basic. I spray/ oil my locs when they need moisture, wash every 3- 4 wks, and retwist probably every 2-3 mos. My loc maintenance has changed with maturity of them tho. I have a 2 Year Loc Update video where I go in depth of products, etc…check it out! 😊

@@Lenzie90 everyone’s hair is different, so take the advice but also do what works for you 😊. Everything in moderation…just show your locs a lot of love and keep them and yourself hydrated 🤞🏾.

Definitely gotta try this, my patience will be tried. Then you rolled one loc at a time, lord. I’ll have to take the day to dry them, because the last time I tried sleeping in some flexi rods it didn’t work out for me… But your locs turned out real cute!

I want to go back to black, I put blonde on my hair once a year since 2019. I currently have not died it blonde since March 2023. I’m scared to go black because I don’t want it to turn green.
I understand. Someone commented that putting red dye drops in the black dye helps with that. I’m not sure tho, but may be worth looking into 😊

Pls post an update, your locs are so beautiful and give me inspiration. Question 1: What's your maintainance routine?(i.e how many weeks do u go inbtwn retwist and do you maintain your locs yourself) Question2: How did u stay without having protective styles(braids, faux locs, marley twists...)? I find it so difficult to stay without doing one protective style or the other and its thinning my locs.
Hey! Thank you so much 🫶🏾 update coming soon I promise! 1. Now I got 6-9 weeks between retwist. I try to push for at least 2 months every time. Yes I maintain my own locs. 2. I just had to get to the point of embracing my locs in the stages they were in and how they look with or without a style. I have a sensitive scalp in general so I’m not big on protective styles, I just prefer them free and with little to no tension.

Thanks for this video. I really wanted to go back to black hair since I’ve had my locs since Nov 21’ and they were always a color. I always used dark and lovely and wanted to see how good of a coverage it is. Your results look really good and I’m gonna definitely get two boxes based on your experience.

So I did my hair the other day and I bought two boxes but I don’t have a full set so one box was fine. I said I’ll probably go back over it in about two months or so. Now one thing I can’t do is my own retwist because I don’t have the patience lol
Definitely requires a lot of patience lol. I can definitely say dying/ washing and retwisting in the same day is not something I do often.

Thank youuu and congrats on your journey! 🤗 Honestly when it comes to edges I feel like it’s about the right edge control for your hair. I doubt you’re doing anything wrong, just gotta find the right product. I use the edge booster brand, maybe try that one and lmk.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that 😊 I didn’t blowout my hair before starting my locs, just washed it and did the twist while it was damp. I used a gel to start my locs, now I use African pride loc gel for retwist, but it’s really more of a jam like consistency. My ends were naturally curly at the beginning so I didn’t do anything extra. Hope this all helps 🫶🏾

Wow that pocket is clutch! So unique. I just can’t get w their subscription process. I go to their site and get lost. Also I personally wouldn’t put the phone on my back or body w the sweat etc. Ty for sharing and the detailed info. Oh and your hair is chef’s kiss.
