LMS 45596 'Bahamas' on the Welsh Marches Line (Sunday 16th April 2023 - LMS 44932)
"LMS 45596 'Bahamas' and the Great Britain XV " made by the Buildings Collection, 16/04/2023.
The Great Britain XV was promoted by the Railway Touring Company and was operated by West Coast Railway Company. This tour, lasting from Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd April, will travel in the countries of England, Wales and Scotland, and the videos here were recorded on the second day of the tour (Sunday 16th April). LMS 45596 'Bahamas' pulled the passenger train from Bristol Temple Meads (England) to Llandudno Junction (Wales), and two hours later another steam locomotive appeared in a light engine movement. According to RailAdvent, SR 35018 British India Line was going to pull the first trip of the Great Britain XV tour on Saturday 15th, but it turns out LMS 44932 took its place on the first tour; the locomotive is shown in the second of the video instead of SR 35018. This is my first time seeing a locomotive of the LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 (Black Five). The videos were filmed by my brother (known as @omegafilmcorporation) on the Google Pixel 4a smartphone, while the pictures on my Canon PowerShot camera were taken by me.

    My family worshiped and married in Llansilin Church and many are buried there.I think there was also a Wesleyan chapel in the village - my mother pronounced it Wes Lane. It is a lovely series and I would have loved more acknowledgement of the social history as it is people that make a parish. We have family from Llanarmon Mynydd Mawr, Llanrhaiadr Y M and Moelfre and Rhiwlas so much of this is very welcome and your warnings about the future of some of them is very aposite. Shame so many are private houses now but better that than knocked down as they were built with skill and love.

    Awesome video Fabian bro!!!! The engines we've saw today look really unique and interesting, especially the engines of Mickey Mouse, Erlestone Manor and Pendennis Castle. I'd find it quite interesting that Pendennis Castle hasn't been seen running in the UK since 1977 until now, like golly!!!! And the reasoning behind it, is that as I've heard from you, it was brought by someone from Western Australia, which the fact it was sent there, just for some normal operations, is quite a bloomin' long distance (especially by boat!!), and now it's back here (it's quite interesting to know that the engine worked in two different climates, Western Australia and the UK, telling by the weather today, like gosh, what a difference)!! But yeah, just like before, thanks for your help for the recordings that I've done for the video, and honestly, I think my favourite shots that I've taken today would definitely be the Mickey Mouse and Erlestone Manor footage, since the shots look pretty good!! But yeah, like as always, awesome video Fabian bro and keep up with the awesome work!!!! :D :) ;)

      Thanks Dylan, I agree with your comments as always. It is interesting that GWR Pendennis Castle worked in Australia for a short while; a similar occasion was when GWR Dumbleton Hall was exported from Southampton to Tokyo (Japan), where it is currently part of a Harry Potter static exhibit at Warner Bros Studio Tour in Tokyo! The videos you took are brilliant, happy to help with the video adjustments on Filmora. :-)

    • @omegafilmcorporation
      @omegafilmcorporation ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheBuildingsCollection You're welcome Fabian bro!! And also, Dumbleton Hall transported from the UK to Japan. Now that's what I call a slow boat to Japan, bloomin' heck. And also, it was shown at Japan's Warner Bros Studio Tour for Harry Potter? I mean, I know it's not exacly like the Hogwarts Express, but the name Dumbleton sounds a bit like Dumbledore, that wizard from Harry Potter, which... that's kinda ironic!! But yeah, other than that, awesome video Fabian bro!!!! :D :) ;)

    Awesome episode Fabian bro!!!! Like as always, most of these churches in this list are my favourites, although I most favourite church in this video would have to be Montgomery, since I've went there before some years ago (they definitely have the best castle there as well)!! I can say though, I have seen the Robber's Grave before, and hearing the story on how that happened, it's pretty sad (especially for a robber). But yeah, other than Montgomery Church, my other favourite churches of mine from this episode would have to be Newtown Church, Seion English Baptist Church, Newtown Methodist Chapel (which that one is sadly demolished), St. David's Parish Church, Pentre Llifior English Methodist Church and Bettws Cedewain Church. But yeah, like as always, awesome episode Fabian bro and keep up with the awesome work!!!! :D :) ;)

      Thanks Dylan bro! I agree with your comments, Montgomery is my favourite church since it brings back memories of when we went there in July 2019. The Medieval screen and effigies and Elizabethan tomb to Richard Herbert are my favourite features of the church. It's a shame the Bethel Methodist chapel at Newtown was demolished, the Powys County Council wasn't aware of the foreshadowing to the chapel weeks after their inspection. Not gonna lie, but it's really cool to finally see the purple engine in real-life (which that one is Taw Valley, just that it's painted for the Platinum Jubilee event, which that's now a month ago!!). Golly!!!! And also, I really like the paint that's added onto the engine, since it looks really nice in purple (almost kinda like magenta, but darkened), it actually suits!! And last thing, the camera that you'd used for the first time looks really good, especially the quality. Like wow, that's a big step-up!! Thanks Dylan! There are so many favourites of mine that I can't list all of them! My top three favourite churches would be Llanfyllin parish church, Llandrinio parish church and Meifod parish church; my favourite chapel is the Ann Griffiths Memorial Chapel, it's intriguing to see an Arts and Crafts Gothic structure built of stone. Stay tuned for my next episode where I will look at the churches in Llanfair Caereinion, Welshpool and more!

    Brilliant episode Fabian bro!!!! Gosh, this show really reminds me of Places of England (which I haven't seen it in ages!!), but instead, it's about Welsh churches, and somehow this looks even better!! Like really, it actually looks like a TV show now, the fact that the effects look even more professional, and I also like your new avatar and voice, it looks really good also!! But yeah, these churches in Wales definitely looks quite good, yet very unique at the same time. And speaking of those churches, my most favourite churches from this video (especially the ones in North Powys) would definitely have to be Llansilin Church, Llangedwyn Church (which they have an entrance that looks pretty identical to Kilpeck's), Penybontfawr Church, Pennant Melangell Church and so many others. But yeah, like as always, brilliant episode Fabian bro and keep up with the brilliant work!!!! It's really awesome!!!! :D :) ;)

      Thank you Dylan, I'm glad to hear you appreciate the new layout of my content. My favourite churches in this episode are the same as yours, but another favourite of mine is the Calvinistic Methodist chapel at Tai-bach (1906). Stay tuned for my next episode where I will look at the churches in Llanfyllin, Meifod and more!

    Awesome video Fabian bro!!!! Not gonna lie, but I haven't seen a new video from this channel in ages, and it's quite nice to see another again, but in a newer, yet a better format. But yeah, the pictures from those places near the River Windrush is very interesting indeed, and one of my most favourites from this list would have to be all the Cotswolds places (especially Naunton and Guiting Power), Bourton-on-the-Water, Great Barrington and Windrush (with my favourite buildings of St. Oswald's Church and Parish Church, which kinda looks like a castle!!). But yeah, other than that, awesome video Fabian bro and keep up with the awesome work!!!! :D :) ;)
