Trials and Triumphs

Will think of one later. There is some good aspects about this and some bad. I don't think it flows perfectly, some parts sound independent from each other when it should all be tied together in some way. There are multiple themes which are somewhat unrelated. But I think the use of different time signatures and dissonance is very progressive compared to my other stuff. It is what it is.

My newest composition. Freshly completed, maybe 10 minutes ago. I don't have Sony Vegas anymore, so I used Windows Movie Maker. As a result, what you see is just the MIDI from MAM, no background picture. I hope you don't mind. It's about the music, anyways. I'm very proud of this one and I hope you enjoy.

Kafka

"Kafka" was originally inspired by Franz Kafka, but then it took a turn on the lighter side and now Kafka is just a catchy name for something completely unrelated to Kafka. I think it's the best thing I've made in a while. This took me a LONG TIME of casual work. Had to be casual because I've noticed that if I try to hard I get fed up and quit, and I knew that couldn't happen with this one.

This is very old, actually. It is the intro song to my electronic ambient album. The working title for the album is "Time" but I realize that's rather generic and cliched. Also, if you are wondering why I haven't made music in like 2 months, I actually have been... None of it was good enough to make it to youtube, unfortunately. So, I'm still working. Hopefully I can produce something good soon.

Currently reading part 4 of kaiji and I enjoy this series SO much!! I really want to get to know more information about Fukumoto, this video is a good starting point. It surprised me that this magazine at 12:25 had like a "pachinko genre". I couldn't imagine any other way to make a thrilling gamble about this topic as Fukumto did and thought he would be REALLY unique with that. Also I'm very curious if the prediction at 22:50 turns out to be right. Great Interview!

How have I never seen this video?!! It's an 11 year old vid as of now and I've been a fan of Fukumoto's manga series Kaiji and Kurusawa for years. Better late than never.

Love him. Kaiji is an amazing manga. Legend of thr Strongest man kurosawa might be my favorite by Fukumoto so far though. What an incredible story.
