What a shit song
You can take the person out of Kawerau but you will never take Kawerau out of the person. Love my home town gave me lots of opportunties growing up. Surrounded by our beautiful river, forest and maunga. You can never call it a ghost town when so many people live there and many others return home to see all their whanau and friends.
I came to Kawerau last year. Yes, many stores have gone, and another mill has closed. The locals are wonderful and resilient. I love little Kawerau.❤
Use didn't even ask if use could take pics of people's houses in Te Teko u idiots..
Bro this song is BULLSHIT some of these pics aren't even in Kawerau and it ain't know ghost town u pieces of kaka..
What a shit song!! I love the town of Kawerau you've obviously never felt the whanaungatanga of our community! Hope you don't come back!
We are not a ghost town our town is thriving and those photos your using is te teko not kawerau our town is beautiful yous have no idea so stop guessing what a shit song
Wtf are you using pics of our home town for your shitty song??? You don't even belong to that maunga or awa! Typical baldheads...go your own piece of whenua on your shitty video. You have no idea about the people of OUR town.
Mighty fine. We have ours in America, too. Well played.
Home ❤
Edmund and all....that was just lovely!
I absolutely love this waiata!! 🧡🧡🧡
Epic Whanau.. beautifully written and performed love K town ❤
That was really good - it will take everyone back in thought. (My neighbour used to work at the mill). Of the past - I loved riding home in the steam train from college (Dunedin). I guess we lived a semi-socialist life, some of which is still obvious: Ambulance, Fire, Health ,Welfare and Superannuation. Power generation was by government. Mid 80's government "took the reins off" and left things to industry ("they knew best").. leaky homes with untreated timber, no reserve power generation, the tolls on the Auck harbour bridge removed for votes - though we knew it could pay for maintenance and replacement, infrastructure ignored. The list goes on !!! Even the government acknowledges it to have been a grave mistake, yet couldn't back up.. Our boat has been leaking, but some were too greedy to maintain it. Oh - cr*p.. what a rant. (have to blame the song.. 🤐)
Great song very well performed. I lived there 1992/1993 and enjoyed my time there.
