The only thing i dont like is these too high turn signals
Where did u get those clamps
The clamps came with the kit, off Amazon. Naked fairing conversion.
You obviously don't know how it works.
You rude ass pos. My fuel pump ran great. Sorry you’re too stupid to figure it out haha. Sucks to be you.
Did you power both wires? Are the high beams just the added top LED or do the bottom 2 leds get brighter when high beams are on?
Yes high beams are only the top added LED it doesn’t get brighter if your connect both red and blue to power. It’s two separate wires for high and low because we can’t add more then our 12volt system operates on. A traditional bulb gets brighter because it has two filaments. So the one filament is supplied with 12 volts then the second filament is supplied with 12volt to make it brighter. It’s not a Baja light by any means. I was straight going for a sleek look with just enough light to get me out of a late night back home. I don’t do much night riding.
@@grizzlymotomotorsports1029Thank you. The exact answer I was looking for. I just want the light for the look as well. No night riding for me. 👊
So cool….except for the stroke I had while watching the single track, drop off parts! Lol
Lol yeah the trick is to not look down that’s for sure!!
brilliant!
Glad to help
It a ktm 500 2012?
This is on my 2003 Ktm 525. My 2012 500 exc has a Baja designs headlight.
I have this headlight by polisport but i have some problems for installing because the cables doesn t fit
So I bought a new switch assembly and it still doesn’t start with the push button. What do you think ??
So do you have power on the Brown wire going into the switch? Do you have power going out of the switch on the black wire? If so go to your starter relay and check that you have ground on the black and yellow wire. Power on the white with red stripe wire, then you should have power on your black wire when you hit your start button. If you have those on the three wires at the starter relay then check if there’s power coming out of the main really to starter when you hit button and activate relay. If you have everything the relay needs but it won’t push power through then bad relay. If you have power going through to starter then bad starter.
Does that clogged sump feed the valve body or the top end? i have a 2011 i have to get into, clutch material flaked off...
I don’t think so but I can’t say for certain. The one I torn down was extremely clogged and no damage was done from lack of lubrication to the top end. The three different clutches have different oil pressure circuits. I’m assuming the top end has its own also but not sure if that is connected to the clogged sump. Even as a trained technician I would have the service manual by my side on this one.
My defender will lose power and shut off completely after about 30 minutes of driving. My charging system is fine and the battery holds a good charge. It has great fuel pressure. Brand new plugs. I’m thinking the worst that the pistons might be swelling up. What are your thoughts? I can’t find anyone else even remotely close other than you that has had this issue
First of all I apologize for the late response. I was moving my entire shop location. That is a very strange symptom. After doing the checks you have done I would also start to think the same thing. There should be a check engine light on so if there isn’t it must be mechanical or bad ecm.
Thank you good sir, TH-cam mechanic saves my butt again.
I love to hear that. I’m glad I could be of help. TH-cam has saved my butt so I’m glad to return the favor.
good job with this tracing. you answered a question i had in the video
Thanks for your comment! I’m glad to help!
That’s a badass headlight! Any issues with it?
It is bad ass “looking” it gets the job done. A really good headlight costs around $500 so for the price and the fact I don’t do much night riding, its great. It’s just to get me home if I happen to stay out a little late.
@@grizzlymotomotorsports1029 sounds perfect 😎
The music is extremely disturbing. Arghhhh! Fml
Then watch something else lol. You’re not paying for my video and no one else is paying me either. This is completely my free time and creativity. If you don’t like it then poss off lol.
Well explained. Thanks 👍
Thank you! I’m glad this could help.
Bro, thanks for sharing the ultimate struggle. You really had a tough go of it. It's not easy to share the events that we didn't do good in but it's good to share the reality of Racing. I was also on a four stroke in that race. Not an easy thing to attempt.
That’s the reality exactly. I just want to give props to anyone that left that start line. I think by posting my struggle I’m also prepping myself for the redemption story. In the end tho I will never be afraid of failure. I am more fearful of not trying at all.
Africa Twin makes it look pretty effortless. Nice ride....love that scenery. It looks like wild fire areas for sure. Fire roads for days!
Yeah there has been 100,000 acre fires left and right up here.
You make it look so easy. What is the soder made from?
Well thank you you’re too kind. The soder I’m not too sure of but I can show you how I soder. I have the heat underneath the wire until the wire is hot enough. Then I put soder on top with heat on bottom and the soder gets sucked down into the wire.
@@grizzlymotomotorsports1029 I picked some up yesterday and will give it a go.
Is this the same motor as the MUV700 Big Red? I just bought one that's smoking Thanks for the insight
No actually the Big Red has a completely different motor, clutch, and transmission. I have another video of one I torn down.
Looks much better. Good job!!
Thanks!
Are you sure those specs in the description are correct ? That seems way off to me
Yeah that’s Hondas spec for that bike. Seemed high to me too you’re not the only one
@@grizzlymotomotorsports1029 is it .28 or .18 for exhaust? Manual says .28mm. Witch is what I measured at. Bike runs horrible and has almost no compression so if .18mm is actually correct then that’s a good thing for me lol
@@grizzlymotomotorsports1029 you may wanna fix your description so someone doesn’t adjust to .18… everywhere I’ve found is .28 I’m assuming it’s a typo ?
I know that Rotax engine is high quality....I think I had one on a 2005 BMW F650GS Dakar.
I don’t have anything bad to say about Rotax engines. Not sure if I would own one but opportunity hasn’t risen I guess
@@grizzlymotomotorsports1029 Like tractor engines...they sound sorta industrial.
Great video. Having that problem myself. Removed the smog crap and cleaned the jets and all, prior to cleaning the carb the bike ran great on lower end but at higher speeds just started to cut out but backed the throttle and cranked and it would get past it and run. So basically just pulled apart and cleaned. Will get up and go now. Thanks
Thanks for your comment. Glad she’s back to top notch and ripping again. They really are great mini adventure bikes.
This is the best explanation that I’ve seen. But I’m still wondering what keeps the one with the hole in it from turning because I can’t see what the slot in it slides into and why does it go in any way? I have had mine in and out about six times and the engine starts good but seems to run away every time but it will shut off with the fuel shut off
I want to do another video for you guys because I don’t think I can answer your question clearly. The groove of slot on the plunger slides into position in the fuel pump body with a little dowel locator in the body. I will post another video in a few days if you want to hold off for a bit
He explained towards the end where he saw the pin fell out. The small pin aligns with the groove just below it and keeps it in place. Don't tilt the pump and lose that pin or you'll have a bad cylinder. GREAT VIDEO!!! Can't wait for grizzly to do a 4 cylinder with geared rack as well as when the rack is frozen where slide pin doesn't match engine opening. Stuck. There's the side fuel adjust secret 😉
Thanks for your documentation. I'm waiting on parts to rebuild mine....it's nice to know where the fuse box is and which two fuses go to the fans!
Sweet I’m glad you found that useful. I’ll be having the FZ1 back in the shop next week so let me know if you need a certain video of anything on the bike
Top of the world. Those KTM's can really go places! They have been on the cutting edge of enduro and motocross for decades!
I love my bike for the places I get to go on it. Wouldn’t catch me hiking and 4 wheels is just not that fun.
Not everyone can do this kind of work. It's always interesting how some things go so smoothly and then a hose clamp in a hard to reach spot can make me just lose my shit lol and struggle for hours.
You know I think that same thing sometimes. I’ll get frustrated and something would give me trouble so I take a break, wooo saww, then when I come back I get it right away. It is a mental struggle sometimes. There is a book I have been meaning to read. “Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance” I think it would shine light on this topic.
What volt meter is that? That's nice as fuck

I put a new fuel pump, battery and fuel injectors in this bike and the new injectors won't fire. is it a relay? or do I need to reset something?

sorry but very poor demonstration have no clue what you are telling me Tell it like a story step by step
Tell it like a story, I like that. Thanks for your input. I don’t say that sarcastically. It takes me awhile to get good at something but once I get it I’m good. Practice makes perfect and listening to constructive criticism.
I'd have to say it was very clearly described if you were a little familiar with the mechanics of the pump and have some understanding of the parts. Great Video. Actually one of the BEST! 😊
Awesome video, Thank you for making it. I am in the process of teardown on one of these. Your video has been invaluable. Thank you

Was the damage from a crash?
Yes unfortunately the owner of the bike went down. It was pretty bad and he got knocked out and doesn’t completely remember the crash. He’s an older gentleman past 50 years old. He recovered and back at it again.
vacum in carb...seal torn
Yes a torn vacuum slide diagram or seal as you call it will cause running issue 100%. If you need help finding where the vacuum lines go you can look in the video towards the end
Looks good in the snow!

Where you get that diagram?
Type into google bayou 250 service manual pdf. There is a manual you can buy online for $30
That's a cool trick luv it
Hello, do you recall what brand/type windscreen it is? thanks
It was the touring style so slightly taller. The FZ1 rider actually went down and I have the bike in for repairs but no windscreen on it. I think he has it at home so I asked him and I’ll get back to you
похоже на GIVi
the service manual from yamaha says turn ccw :| but it's wrong. jumped timing
Your correct the service manual does say turn CCW and that is wrong. We should always turn our cranks clockwise away from our cam chain tensioner. Unless you have KTM or bmw street bikes have cam in front on RH side or on the opposite side like any dirt-bike and in that case you would turn CCW. Just a reminder because I didn’t say it in the video, we need to leave our tensioner engaged while turning our crank. Only time we remove our tensioner is when we are removing our camshafts.
