what happen to this course? It looks like it was purchased by meta, but it's split up in a way that's actually harder to follow, since the ux for the meta spark website is very confusing in terms of tracking progression and knowing next steps.

Hello, In the current version of Spark there is no patch asset in the material settings. Do you know how to solve this problem?
Can you drag it right into the patch editor?
@@eddyin3dIt creates a shader code asset, which has properties like color1,color 2 and armCount so confused where to connect the output from the patches

Hmm. The same principles should apply.
Isnt it the same technique used by Ueda's team in Shadow of The Colossus game? Thats genius!!
I'm not sure, but probably! It's a common way to render fur in 3D. I know Red Dead Redemption 2 used this same technique.

I know. They just take SO long to create. It's hard to keep a work life balance while also trying to make a bunch of tutorials. If only I could slow down time.

There are websites online where you can generate a depth map from images. So I take that into Blender and displace a plane.

Thanks! I used a website to generate a depth map based on the Midjourney 2D image, then displaced the geo in Blender.

In the intro, have you printed it or is it tracked in your hand ? Awesome.
I tracked the 3D model of the toaster to my hand! I realized after the fact that I should have rotated it more so you could see the depth. My hand was just holding a little box to get the object track done in Blender.

You could trigger an animated texture sequence.
Hi great video i was wondering if you could help me with the wings template on spark ar im trying to get two people to be able to use it but im new to this so not sure how to go about that. working with the template blocks im not sure

I cannot get this to work at all. I animate my object. Export to ABC. Import it again. Save it as an FBX. But when I then load that into Spark AR I dont have the animation layer that you have, so its just a static object
Have you tried adjusting the export settings?
@@eddyin3d Yeah. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the type of animation I'm trying. I've got it to work with making a cube move back and forth, but I'm trying to simulate fabric blowing in the wind and that animation doesn't load into Spark.
Thanks a lot Eddy! So glad to find this course as it is very difficult to find a course that is properly guided from 0 knowledge to be able to create. I think anyone who commits to complete this masterclass will then be able to start creating isntead of trying to find bits and pieces of resource here and there.

I created blush using procreate 1000x1000 pixel, saved it as PNG, but when I loaded the PNG image in effecthouse, the blush effect appear very tiny. Not the same size. How can I fix that?
A 1k texture should be the right size for this sort of thing. I'm not sure where your issue is coming from.

Same idea. Create a second face mesh and use the same technique.

You should be able to use the same technique!
