Basically the interval between and number of shots are decreased/increased respectively. And lower CD on overheat. Here's a clip from the patchnotes: Heavy Bowgun - Crouching Shot: Adjusted as follows: The recovery speed of the overheat gauge has been increased. Overheat duration has been decreased. Normal Ammo 1-3, Pierce Ammo 1-3, Flaming Ammo, Water Ammo, Freeze Ammo, Thunder Ammo: The interval between rapidfire shots has been decreased, and the total number of shots has been increased. Dragon Ammo, Piercing Dragon Ammo, All Status-Effect Ammo Types 1-3: The interval between rapidfire shots has been decreased.

Those damage ticks/sound fx really add to that satisfaction :)

I think counter blocks only the first hit, with a tiny bit of s after. So for multi-hitting attacks, you'd have to evade or have good positioning.

Nice to know. Have to try Normal 3 out on a hunt, although I think it demands more accuracy/precision shooting from the player unlike Pierce? What's your Armor Set btw?

@@cjregunay1668 I would say the accuracy is important for min max but even on less than stellar spots it hits only about 20% less on average

@@LeFiendComedian For pierce and normal deff the new chaotic one, easy 100% affinity and solid attack, pierce rounds are a little low when not in seige though so be wary

The Iai Counter didn't give +1 spirit gauge in Iceborne right? Do you think LS will be nerfed in the G Rank expansion?

@@cjregunay1668 no, it didn't, in fact it actually consumed one level of the spirit gauge (unless timed correctly). Regarding nerfs, I highly doubt it, Longsword is the most picked weapon and it has been like that for many games, Capcom knows it and I doubt that they want to change it too much.

@@user-sb7wj1vn4x Bit strong? More like stupidly overpowered. And i say that as a ls main. I used ls in iceborne, later I started to play chargeblade. But in rise i played only CB cause longsword feels incredibly easy and less rewarding. Oh and I didn't even use quick sheathe. That's the problem with op stuff in videogames, yeah it might be fun for the first couple games but super boring after.

@@user-sb7wj1vn4x This is an argument that I might use if the game was purely offline, but I feel like certain weapons or tools being 'too strong' can affect the online coop experience in a bad way This isn't a perfect example, but I have a friend who leans more to using meta stuff and has nagged me about me not doing the same, and with randoms, they sometimes altogether refuse to play with me for not going meta Granted, this thankfully hasn't happened to me in Rise and I hope to nobody else either, but overall I think the point stands.

You can drop health boost as well, even without Fatalis armour. Sure, some rare attacks might 1shot and you won’t be able to put off healing for so long, but it’s doable. It’s less comfortable though, personally unless I’m less than like 80/200 I’ll just go back into the fight instead of healing to use health augment to get up to full health. But if I have lost 120 from 150, I urgently need to heal

@@seastilton7912 top upgraded full fatalis armor cant get 1 shot killed, not even fatalis (common) attacks 1 shot kill you, at full health

@@seastilton7912 read the part "common attacks" You need to know what is "developed to 1 shot kill" and what is made Just to Hurt you.... But you only read what you want to read

I'll try to do the actual sheathing animation per weapon... iirc the longer the weapon sheathe animation, the better the effect of quick sheathe

I mean rise has been out for a year. And quick sheath makes the ability way faster and more reliable. Why wouldn't an ability where you sheath your weapon be effected by a skill called quick sheath? >.>

@@cjregunay1668 for sure that I know, Lvl 3 Quick Sheathe is a game-changer for Great Sword. It's to the point of instant sheathing after an attack, giving a lot of maneuvering windows.

Is the difference for Iai slash better in Rise?

in rise quick sheathe lv3 is so op you can just spam it. get to red, helm breaker, quick sheathe again, and repeat.

If you mean frames of invulnerability, I don't think so. However there is a little step back when you do the move.

@@cjregunay1668 ah kl i read up abut more there is after you attack a very small frame you get I -frame and the other slash which uses a bar has longer i frame and when do it properly it doesnt take any gauge/bar.

@@tasin2776 i tried it no problem i struggle with foresight slash more than special sheath beside the spirit one

If you can time it successfully without losing the 3rd level buff, you can combo iai spirit slash into helm breaker and feel like a true LS god. Or you can miss the timing completely, hit the helm breaker launch but miss the final strike and botch 2 spirit levels in a matter of seconds and feel like a true potato god.
