    My mom was from Beaver Falls. One Christmas eve 1967 we staked out Joe Namath's parents house.A silver corvette showed up and Joe Namath and Valerie Perrine showed up. And he signed photos for us.

    Chippewa and Patterson are townships, just like Center and Brighton. Beaver is the only borough mentioned. You want a real tour of Beaver County, PA? Drive through Ambridge, Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Rochester, Midland, and Monaca. You'll see some sights, for sure.

    North Allegheny is not in Pittsburgh. High taxes are the result of a leftist government that has made Pittsburgh a sanctuary city. My wife and I grew up in Pittsburgh and that's why we opted to live in another county.

    You could have made this video as a TH-cam short by saying all the Black areas of Pittsburgh. But don't forget to include the white racism that built those areas. And Wilkinsburg has diverse soico/economic areas like Blackridge, Regent Square and the areas adjacent to those sections. But carry on.......

    The white people act funky out here. They either act afraid and won’t look U in the eye or are overly friendly here, “hey, meet my wife! Isn’t she f*kable? Not saying U would, but U could if U wanted to. I like black people!” I’m not a local so I trip on their behavior. It’s a beautiful city though. Hahahaha!🤦🏾‍♂️

    Grew up in New Brighton. Live in Florida now but it was nice place to grow up. My parents still live there. Good info. But Beaver Valley mall in dead now

    Wow, looks like Bridgeville has come up in the world since the 60's and 70's when my aunt and uncle lived there. Back then it was the kind of place people wanted to move away from. My brother and his wife lived in Dormont right off West Liberty avenue back in the 80's. We used to walk over and eat at the Palace Diner on West Liberty. But i kind of already knew the other 3 places would be on this list.

    I'm thinking of retiring to Pittsburgh. Your videos are great but it would be helpful if you included a map of the areas you are discussing. Still very helpful. I'm leaning heavily toward a house in the Burgh landslides and flooding are concerns.

      Thanks for the feedback! I do include maps in many of my videos, but you're right, I did not do it in this one. I will keep that in mind for future reference. :-) Landslides and flooding can definitely happen in some areas, but there are many areas where that is not a huge concern.       No it’s not. My parents neighborhood in Pittsburgh has basically never even had a crime. The worst thing that has happened in 25 years is some kids threw a party when their parents went on vacation and all kinds of stuff happened that like 7 cops responded and 15 people went to jail. Other than that literally no other crime has happened in decades. There has never been a shooting ever.

      Um, Brah I was born in Lawrenceville in 1962, and today live on the North Side. This list IS correct, If incomplete. I'd add the Rocks, Braddock ETC to the list.

    East Hills isn't as bad as noted, neither is Wilkinsburg. You left out McKees Rocks which is considered way worse, but many crimes aren't reported.

      I grew up in what now is known as East Hills, about a block from the Wilkinsburg border. All kids went through the Wilkinsburg schools and everyone patronized the plethora of businesses and entertainment venues in the Wilkinsburg business district. The high school closed years ago. What was a vibrant business district now is depressing.

      @@beerybillWilkinsburg is on the upswing for the last few years. New businesses have come in and more and more abandoned buildings are being torn down annually. I grew up in McKees Rocks which has really gone downhill and I'm happy living in the Wilkinsburg area for the last 18 years.

    The worst crime to ever happen in the Hill district was when the city of Pittsburgh destroyed the Lower Hill in 1957, forcing 8,000 of working class blacks and immigrants to relocate without compensating them

    I lived in beech view and spent a year living there rehabing a house for a friend. Dormant is a great area also. I think where you missed your mark is the convenience of the trolly to access these areas and getting into the center of the city. Everyone i met was wonderful.and very affordable to live.

      Wilkinsburg is ALSO not in the city of Pittsburgh, She was talking about the Pittsburgh area. McKeesport in in Allegheny County, So OBVIOUSLY "Pittsburgh Area". I'm only surprised she didn't mention McKees Rocks or Braddock.
