Hi Jose: Eddie Wu's jacket was tight on the shoulders and belly, but his tai-chi movements were relaxed and smooth and agile. PS: I am not his student.
I train in Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan. Grandmaster Eddie Wu is awesome! He likes to come to San Diego in the winter he lives in Toronto Canada so he comes down here when it's cold up there! We always enjoy his company.
This took place in Hackney, London during the annual Competition for Tai Chi organised by the Wu Academy London. It demonstrates a competitive practice of Wu Tai Chi called pushing hands. The aim is to unbalance your opponent.
mmm....such a pity the essence of wu taichi doesnt have in this video.....movement totally not syncronized with breathing...too much unneccessary movement.....
+boing bryan are u sure?? he possessed every essence of wu taichi for both square form and round form, with movement synchronized with breathing well.. i did not see any unnecessary movements.. your saying was completely opposite to the truth.. any video would u suggest which can show the things u mentioned??
+Jason Lin taichi is all about the stability of chi....external movement n breathing is just for beginner.... title as 'master' doesnt mean anything in real kungfu world... just a simple walking can tell the person chi, if u able to sense...
+boing bryan but how is it related to this video?? he has perfect square forms and round forms, including the internal chi movements, not just external movement and breathing.. there is no doubt that he has real kungfu, recognized by the martial arts world.. he is the 5th generation of the wu style taichi family, trained by Wu GungYi and Wu TaiKwei since a child.. in my opinion, before we judge a person's level, we at least should have attained a certain level first.. are u really able to know what he is doing?? any videos of u and your teacher to share??
+Jason Lin yes he learn frm young age but he frm young not inetrested in learning,he was a mischevious child...but he stop train frm very young also... nowadays marketing is very good in promoting learning frm who who who master ,direct frm master or frm family.. he started to teach taichi because he couldnt find job frm oversea.. many ppl dont know his past.. his chi is on the chest like many ppl hasnt ground the chi to the lowest..:)
+boing bryan i want to laugh.. what evidence did u get? from what i know, your saying is completely far from being accurate.. why do u make fake stories?? he moved to canada for studying aircraft engineering, and later worked as deputy chief engineer.. no job so taught taichi?? no kidding pls.. in addition, he taught taichi in canada and also many other countries.. foreigners were more powerful in size and weight than chinese; it is impossible to have so many foreigners learning from u if u do not have such martial arts ability to fight them.. he taught in canada, singapore, uk, greece, etc.. no joking pls if a marketing person without real ability can attract so many ppl around the world to learn from him.. your comment that his chi is on the chest; i have no comment on your comment, as u really don't know what chi is and what he is actually doing.. my advice is, stick to the truth..
Yah👍
Yah
This style is perfect for the patients in the rehabilitation ward to exercise practicing this Wu style. Very slow n no challenging movements.
An interesting account of Wu-style Tai Chi Chuan in the Hongkong lineage. Thank you for sharing.
TOO RIGID!
Jose Martins, pls show yours
I would like to learn better one.
Hi Jose: Eddie Wu's jacket was tight on the shoulders and belly, but his tai-chi movements were relaxed and smooth and agile. PS: I am not his student.
Walter Lau , I want watch yours.
Chris Lam
Walter Lau
Chris Lam

Do you know of any good teachers in the bay area?

Comment by a London friend of TheZornisse using their computer. Oops.
