I’m in his class!!!
Hi Mr. Benner, it's Ben
Very nice build date ?
Very nice work lovely engine.
Ease of manufacturing compared to cutting gears.
that is a lot of contact surface and frictions, lol.
Love it!!! Your the best teacher ever!!!
Very nice!
He was one of my instructors at WW college of auctioneering in 2001; I really enjoyed his classes.
i'm surprised that it is not german; they seem always to prefer the most complex way 🤣
Overly complicated
It may be mechanically complicated, but from a manufacturing point of view it is extremely simple. All the components can be made with basic casting techniques and a lathe with single-point tooling. Making bevel gears would require an order of magnitude more complexity in tooling.
Pozdro
Siema ziomki jak tam lekcja fizyki?
a dobrze dobrze a ja tam tobir mija lekcja?
Neat!!
Anyone know where someone could get one of these, preferably in a smaller size…
This is something from the late 1890's. Don't think it is produced anymore because we have right angle gearboxes today taking it's place and are much simpler and cheaper to make.
@@aeromach2007 i belive it was a joke think about it😂
@@Gary-cvr23 ,, seems to me I looked it up back then and they are still being made yet., if I remember right.
Beautiful! I'm guessing that's a hot tube ignition?
Very, very nice engine 😇🙏
Where would you need such a thing?
90 degree angles
@@Tahn0 Gears are easier and cheaper
@@gustavgnoettgen This is 1800-1900 tech. This was way easier to make back then. Is is also noiseless and doesn't change the direction of rotation. This is some good engineering of its simplicity
@@Tahn0 It's not simple though
@@gustavgnoettgen it really is though. Literally a crank on a pole. Simplicity
Hi Mr. Benner, it’s Peyton
That is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

What is this machine شنو هالمكينة دي ماكنة ايه
It translates rotation 90° without gears and it also rotates the output pulley the same direction
Beautiful work of functional art. Thanks!
Slow motion??
I have a 2 hp Eli and am trying to find out what I can about it. Is any info out there, what do they sell for? Howard
That thing is out of phase. Try twice the amount of weight on the drawing pad pendulum as on the other pendulums. For example 50lb, 25lb and 25lbs. Also counter balance helps on the end of the arms so that the pen isnt so heavy.
Love that beautiful cobalt blue paint.
Lotta Gades here. I'm honestly shocked by the amount of engine companies that existed in Iowa in the early 1900's.
That was a fun day in the ole engine shed!
Very nice 👌
Wayne is is the best there is in terms of early engine knowledge.
York Engine
Very nice engine came from Florida used to be mine Kenny wolf turned it up for me this engine was belted up to a cane mill
That’s an Emperor Angel.
It’s upside down!
I believe that thing is called the Otto-Langen (after the names of the inventor and the money man) gas motor, but good job.
Like mine
In before Imgur flood!
Nice engine
baler,shear,shredder for scrap metal...
Great to see it running after all these years. Very rare, very wonderful engine.
Dang that's super cool ,I thought the old spiralgraph was cool in the 70s
Looks like Wayne G in the red shirt.
Not the cheapest engine for a collector, lol.
They made a small 2 hp tractor with that size engine didn't they?
This is the SG104 Singer sewing machine according to the video description.
Very nice !!!!😘
pretty cool
Not a Queen Angel
Couples a right angle, and it inverts the axis of rotation. Of all the videos on TH-cam of these things, not one person has yet to notice this and that's what makes them so special. If those were beveled gears, the output shaft would be spinning the same direction as the input.
Unless you put one of the gears on the far side from the input shaft.
