What's up with the nose in the ground
He was smelling a doe’s tracks to see if she was in heat.
dont look much like the high peaks region
Congratulations on an amazing buck
Release in grease is what i always say. 🎣
Been watching your videos for a while now but heard ya on the BWB Adirondack podcast was a good listen wanted to say hi and good work
Great Buck nice video
Those putts are bad News!😂😂
Why is the muzzleloader upside-down?
I’m not holding it. It’s laying across the rest and the scope side is the heavy side.
@@jbwildoutdoors3809 now that makes sense lol
Nothing wrong with taking a smallie but tbh they do not taste great imo
If you like fried fish, somebody cooked it wrong!
That looked delicious, Bass is one of the best tasting fish.
Turtle soup
Great video THANK YOU for sharing WISHING you the best 👍🏼🦌🇺🇸
The good life
Hope we get a little better snow this year! Great video, I'm psyched for the 2024 season!
I was gonna say we ain’t got no damn snow yet!!!
Nice video. Nothing better than hunting 🦌 with snow on the ground. New subscriber!!
Beats sitting here in NC. With no where to hunt. Good luck
Another great day in the woods.
I really enjoy your videos. It makes me feel as if I’m actually there in the woods. Summer just got here and I want to enjoy the nice weather, but I can’t wait to get into the woods again! Keep posting Thank you!
Great video
Why does the timer stop at 9:11
Nice video. i like the videos made in the Adirondacks the best probably because that's were i hunt .i also smell the deer bed as well. If it does have a strong smell i grab a hand full and rub it on my pants. don't know if it helps but i do it. Thank you for the video.
Thank you! Always a pleasure meeting an Adirondack hunter!
Just found your videos, and I understand fully how tough that type of hunting is! I hunt the highest mountains of KY, but we never have snow until after season over. But big mountain bucks are the Supreme Test in hunting! And to video it, we'll done!
I bet the KY mountains are awesome! I have only seen pictures.
@jbwildoutdoors3809 Yes they are, actually in my area, very similar to much of the Adirondacks from what I've seen. I live at the base of the first spur ridge off the highest point in KY, on the VA state line, and not far from Tenn. The Adirondacks, a place that's fascinated me my entire life, I'm 65, and read plenty of them in 60's-70's when there was real good print magazines! Our region is not as broad-wide like yours, but never ending in length! The entire county is enclosed in 2 narrow valleys between 3 separate mountains, one being topped by the Appalachian Trail. But I love deer hunting, but my way is the easy old man's slow way! But I really enjoyed your videos, and I salute your efforts and drive to do it, I KNOW HOW TUFF IT IS! Farm country hunters showing them big racks, ain't got a trophy to compare to a Big Mountain Buck, and you know that too I know! You even know what rifle to carry, and I'm guessing?30-06? I've got a Rem 742 Woodsmaster Auto myself in 06. Ah, I'll hush, just hang tough, videos what you can, share when you can! For my own consolation, I used to push these mountains like that just for squirrels, no deer enough to fool with then, but now, enough to keep me on the hunt! David W Harris
@jbwildoutdoors3809 Correction, old man's memory! The Little Shepherd Trail runs thru here. The Appalachian Trail in VA n TN, not far from here.
I hope I can still get after it at your age. I’m sure I will have to convert to a sitter some day. Until then I’m going to keep roaming the mountains. The gun is a 760 in 30-06. Pleasure chatting. Always a pleasure hearing from a fellow mountain hunter! - - - Jason Bruno
Enjoyed it!!! Keep them coming!!!
Thank you Jerry!
Good real world hunt! Enjoyed it, sir. Makes me really miss November though, lol.
Thank you for the positive comment! Appreciate it!
Hay did leave your 7600 behind for a Browning . At first I thought you cut and shorten your 7600.
Hey Josh. I retired the 760 in 30-06. I missed the last 4 big bucks with it. 😂 I have had the Browning for almost 10 years. Doesn’t carry as nice as a Remington but i shoot it better. It does carry better with this scope compared to the one with a bigger bell on the end. I might get a 7600 in the future if I find the right one.
Oak tree's in the high peeks,!!what kind of a rifle are you carying,,I use my Rem.30-06 carbine with a vortex red dot.
It’s a Browning ShortTrac .308 from their custom shop with a 1.5-5 Leupold Firedot.
Adirondack tradition, camping in a Lean To, and a nice feast of fresh fish
Very Impressive. My son and I fished there twice and only landed one laker. What area were you fishing and how deep?
Southern part and 50ft
Great video! What lb test do you use on those jigging rods? Heading up there for the first time this weekend and I’m just trying to get an idea of what to use. Any info is appreciated!
Thank you! I use a 20lb braid with a 10 or 12 pound fluorocarbon leader. The braid is good if you are in a heated shack or it’s above freezing. Otherwise it has a problem with freezing and I recommend just using the fluorocarbon. I heard the shorelines are getting soft from the warm weather. Be safe. Good luck and tight lines.
Thank you!
Hey Tony ! I see you!😂
Impressive
cool video, thanks for sharing. Happy new year
Nice looking spot. What rifle are you packing?
It’s a Custom Browning Shorttrac in .308
@@jbwildoutdoors3809 Interesting.. thanks
Sure ill be the first one to view!! 🤙
😂🤙🏼
Most of my deer hunts end up turning into mini shed hunts these days! Nice sheds, Colt!
I always loved hunting NY congrats
we call them sweet breads too, we split everything equal, but the shooter gets the heart and sweet breads, in our little group, enjoyed the video
Very good tips!
I like the new intro!
Man you make it look easy. I fished the lake last year and one guy I was with got one on a tip up all day.
Some days are like that. This was just a great day and using the right size they were feeding on.
Where were you set up around? How deep
@@samortiz7018 30’ I think. We were out off the beach.
Meet you at Huntstock. Thanks for the great advice. This is a great video for someone like myself that is new to tracking. Really great information.
It makes total sense. Damn good observation. Here in maine it is just like that. Except mid maine has not seen very much snow during deer season until the very end. I absolutely love to track and teach my kids. And literally run them down. Loved the video can't wait to see you more.
Is NY your home base?
It’s is. I live in the Adirondacks.
Bear season starts this weekend good excuse to get in the woods
Should be a good year for that too with all the mast crop. Good luck to you.
Awesome vid my friend. You're getting me stoked for hunting season. Going kayak/hammock camping next week at Pharoh Lake for a couple of days. Love this time of year and the ADK.
Thank you. That’s a beautiful place to camp and you are right about the time of year making it even better.
Hollywooood
What’s the brand of compass you’re using that’s pinned to your shirt? I’m looking for one that’s like that and I would like a dependable brand for one.
I don’t know what brand they are. Sometimes they are in a package and sometimes I buy them out of a big jar without packaging. I looked to see if they had a name on them and they only say they are made in Taiwan. I carry 2 just incase I lose one, which has happened and I was glad I had a spare.
Good luck this season, looking forward to seeing your videos
I believe I ran into you end of season 22 at W Hill Showed you pic of lg flatfooter
I remember you, good luck this season.
