Hi, I plan to go back to Yorkshire coast this year as you need to go and look where they are more plentiful. Also planning to go to south coast known as the Jurassic coast where the cliffs are eroding into the beach and depositing fossils all the time. Around here you can find the odd small one if you are lucky on Thurstaston beach. Good luck 🤞

Hi, Many thanks for your kind comment. The answer is that the River side is Crown Estate and is ok to detect on. The other side is Council owned to a certain distance out so is not technically. Good luck when you have a go. I hope to be uploading more in the near future as I will have a lot more time on my hands to do so. Cheers 👍

It's a bit grey really. Not an easy answer. The Mersey part of the River is fine. The other beaches depend on how near to Crown estate you are and not near the high tide area. It is unlikely you will be challenged unless you go near to Hilbre Island as it's got protected status. Hope that helps. Cheers 🙂
