As an older person, I found it about more than a job! It's life! Being tired! A lifetime, of possibilities, of falls, of getting tired, of no worth, and sleep is like death, do animals dream of possibilities, of failures, of eventual death. It's not about a tiresome job at all! Its any job, every life. What we pick & choose, drop & fail, you will understand it better when ur older, lol, tired, aches upon retiring. But the metaphors, small part of apple stories, whether Eden, Johnny Appleseed, the Judgment of Paris, Hercules & the Hesperides, archers, even Newtons aha, ouch, eureks, gravity!, don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, Golden Apples books of aphorisms, the apple of my eye, but picking apples, a long physical day, to dream, regret, be tired, thousands of dreams, so many left, many of no worth, tired, old, hurting, sleep, sweet, sweet sleep, do animals suffer such as this, living, surviving, dying.

Really guy the poem has to do with some disgruntled Apple picker who is just bored to death with his job? You have really missed the mark here. What you're reading as his boredom about his job is really Robert Frost's coming to a profound understanding of the repetitious nature of nature.

Nice. Thanks for the video. I appreciate your analysis on it and definitely agree with the majority of what you said. But I 'm really hoping it was just a hypothetical example when you mentioned people on one side "doing something" about climate change vs those who do not choose "do something" about it or or perhaps believe that climate change has nothing to do with humans and has been in fact occurring since the dawn of life on earth. When Robert wrote this poem none of these theories even existed. Have you looked into or read the divine comedy? A lot of people think this poem had a lot to do with that. I read up to purgetory. It's not an easy read.
