That’s a great suggestion and I want to make that video… I can’t speak from Experience on that topic because I have never spent any money on ads at all… my business has been built 💯 percent organically… however it doesn’t mean I won’t make the video… Im already planning on doing a collaboration interviewing another very successful 6 figure detailer who’s been doing this much longer than me and I would consider to be an expert on that topic. If I haven’t done it personally and I can’t speak from experience then I will bring in an expert who can provide some professional insight and provide some real value. I’m bringing Reyes back out for another round of filming in December and will hopefully knock it out then ;)

@@DJJDSKREWED thanks for the tips! I did use the steel wool.0001 on the glass and that worked pretty well. Still a little nervous about working with the acid, just don’t want to damage anyone’s vehicle or myself with it.

@@topstardetailing you can only really damage raw metals or yourself but gloves once you work with it few times youll get it. acid works great on factory clear coated wheels and chrome. Paint and glass the acid is perfectly fine on nice about the f30 is you can dilute as you need.

@@DJJDSKREWED thanks man! I haven’t yet, but I’ll be 51 next month and thinking about it… need to get some bloodwork done and see where im at I guess. I took the whole summer off the gym because I work like 12 hours a day in that Vegas heat and was just completely exhausted afterwards… didn’t have the time or the energy. I just started back in the gym again last week now that it’s getting dark at like 5pm, but definitely sore AF and makes detailing harder… hoping after a couple weeks I can get readjusted to it… I like working out, just not the recovery so much.

@ yeah I’ve been working out pretty consistently since I was a teenager… definitely gets harder to keep up as you get older.

@@theunkownmr.562 yeah I try to stay healthy… had 2 surgeries in my first year of detailing carpal tunnel surgery and trigger finger syndrome surgery… detailing is really rough on your hands when you are doing it all the time. I have zero interest in doing ppf or tint, I like doing some ceramic coatings, but the paint correction is also pretty hard on the body.

I have thought about that one, but it’s complicated… the thing I think most people don’t realize is there is a significant cost involved with filming…. A full day of filming costs me $800 and to do a video like that would take all day… it’s hard for me to justify making one really long video vs 5 or 6 videos. Also most people’s attention spans are so short these days im not sure if anyone would actually watch the whole video… its hard to keep most people past 15-20 minutes you know what im saying? They got the attention span of a goldfish 😝 If I can figure out a way for it to be cost effective and not super long then maybe 🤔

The way I do it is for example my express detail on a car is $195 and on average will take between 2-3 hours depending on condition of the vehicle… but the time allotment for that detail maxes out at 3 hours… if it’s in a condition that will take me longer than that then I will charge accordingly based on the extra time. You have to have a set time limit. If it’s really bad condition I will just tell them upfront before starting that their vehicle would require our higher level executive package to give them the results they are looking for. It needs a deeper level of cleaning that will require more time to get it done the price would go from $195 (2-3 hours) to $395 (4-5 hours)

Thanks brother! 🙏 It’s super important to figure that part out as quickly as possible… you will enjoy detailing much more when you are running a successful profitable business. There is a great opportunity in this business, you have the potential to make more money than most people with a college degree… you just have to have a solid understanding of the actual business side of things, detailing is the easy part.

Everyone has their own beliefs, but if you have the choice to do something you actually enjoy vs something you hate doing then do what makes you happy! Even if you think that the world is a psyhop your time is short and goes by faster than you think… so you mine as well try to find something that gives you some sense of fulfillment, freedom, happiness… or at least doesn’t make you miserable doing it anyway.

I have built a strong brand that brings in a solid flow of customers and I work alot of hours to be able to service as many clients as possible consistently every week. It’s definitely not easy and it takes a toll on you both mentally and physically, it’s exhausting, but it can be done ;)
