Well done on an honest review. I am sick and tired of struggling pathetically with expensive tools and non compliant watches . I finally gave up with my 3 battery JP 2000 … sent it to Citizen.. The serial number points to ‘93 production. Great vid .., thanks;)

Hey bro, This is a budget fit radio. In India it costs only 10 dollars. I just want to give a brief history of this type of radio. In 90’s many such generic local made radio was popular in India before Chinese products were emerged. These type of radio were bought by the people who loved radio but didn’t have money to buy brand like Sony, Philips etc. But think once 5 core has the same Sony chip CXA1619 and performs like Sony. What else a poor people like farmer or labour wants. These are the people who never think of TV because they can’t afford.You are talking about SW reception is poor. These manufacturing companies have no focus on SW because BBC and Voice of America is no more broadcasting program in Hindi. And FM is popular all around the world as well in India. And FM stations have full package of entertainment in present time. So I think such a budget category product can’t be compared with any branded product or with a brand that has already carrying a big legacy of making radio devices. Still these type of radios are made for the people whose budget is tight. And In villages or out skirts of big cities these are popular. I know you bought it for 30 bucks but it’s a 10 bucks thing. You also get such products cheaper than 10 bucks that are made locally. So In my opinion such products are blessing for tight budget people. I hope you got my point. Love from India

I just thought I killed my solar edifice when changing the battery, but a day later it somehow snapped out of its fugue state and works just fine. I think some of these movements have a chance to carry electric currents from tools and fingers

That good ol’ dw5600 looks so well worn & shiny but not tore-up in any way. I bought mine in 2021. I wish I had been into G-shocks when I was a 21 y.o. in 1989.

I deployed with this watch all over the Middle East in the early 2000’s - I still own the watch and have only had to change the bevel recently. It’s served me well

I always wander by the Casio watch display at Walmart, too. I just got the desert tan, negative display version of this watch on clearance at Walmart for $7! I couldn’t believe it.

I have 3: classic black, blue & black gold. I got all 3 super cheap a few years back when wal-mart was getting rid of their jewelry counters & practically giving the Casio watches away on clearance. I was thinking about putting my orange silicone strap back on my black duro for Halloween season. Do you pull your crown out when not wearing your duro to save battery life? I do. Nobody has more Casio watches than Greg Anderson other than Casio itself! 😂

We had the same. Purchased in 74. Never knew about the micro switch. The bag on ours had a flower print, but otherwise identical. Amazing how nostalgia warms the heart, even a vacuum cleaner. 😂👍♥️

Interesting watch-I’ve never heard of that brand-I’ll have to check it out. I like colors of the watch-something different. I too just bought that dw6900-1v G-shock recently & I know what you mean about the band being silky smooth! The resin is definitely of a higher quality. Another watch guy I watch, Greg Anderson “the good timekeeper” is also from Utah. 🤔

The Speidel appears to have the module 3298 as used in the Casio A168/ F105. Can you confirm?

I got this watch about a month ago, and I've been loving it since. I saw this watch model on a lot of wrists when I was growing up, but I was never really a watch enthusiast back then. When I saw this for a discounted price on Amazon, I just had to get it. While I love the watch, I would've preferred the one with Tough Solar + MB6, since I don't have to worry about battery changes, but it was quite the significant price difference for that model, so I'm pretty happy with my normal DW-6900. The one I bought has the new white-blue LED backlight found on the GW-M5610U, thus the 6900 model I got says DW-6900U on backplate. Would love to get a GW-6900 some day. Hope you enjoy the watch 💯

Whats the best casio under 3000 rupees in your opinion

I have 6 G-shocks & recently became enamored with this “Mission Impossible 2” watch. I chose the original version over the multi-band 6/solar version simply because of the BEAUTIFUL color way. That red G-shock logo is just 🔥. The band does feel softer as you stated. Your review was very helpful & gave me a few pointers I didn’t know about the watch. Your watch must have been at the store for a while cause it has the electro-luminescent back light. I mail ordered mine & just received it on 8/18. Mine says LED backlight & lights up bright white. I saw another review on this watch & they said the LED version has a battery life of 5 years. This is my current favorite G also & I’m definitely in the honeymoon phase. 😂 GREAT review 👍

Thank you got it in december of 2022 when i went christmas shopping the same year my endura reach came out in 2022 i never had to change the belt on mines and if i do i have two ways of doing it

I have one of those vacuums I bought mines at Meijer for 75 dollars it works too mines is made in Vietnam plus mines has a twist n' snap hose the model number of my model is UD20124V

I still have mine but have replaced the band with a factory original.
