Catalonia should have renovated the entire hotel instead of sticking with the outdated Holiday Inn decor and business model. The hotel looks exactly the same as it did when I last stayed there in 2005.

Imagine, the Holiday Inn was the go-to hotel in the 80s and 90s. Anyone who traveled on a chartered package holiday in the UK likely stayed there. However, with the rise of hotel brands like Riu, Hyatt, and Hilton, the Holiday Inn struggled to keep pace with the evolving hospitality industry, especially compared to the other hotels in the Rose Hall area. As a result, it lost its star rating and was eventually sold to a new company. It's a shame, as the hotel is in a prime location in Jamaica-close to the airport, shops, and the heart of Montego Bay.

I appreciate you educating us about various parts of Jamaica, and my town Ochi specifically. You are so right about the kings and queens who were brought to Jamaica and enslaved. It’s all about Money, they just want to make Money 💰 💰 💰 I was just staying 3 weeks at Hilton Rose Hall Resort, they took over that resort 3 years ago, but while we were there, when September and low season started, all service basically stopped, scaffolding was put up around the building and work began on the roofs and grounds, it became a building site, although we were there as paying guests! They stopped serving Jamaican rum at the bars and instead served cheap Polish rum!! They didn’t care about us! This in their 3rd year! They should have renovated when they took over!
