M2 Sandy - 79 Land Cruiser | Terra10 Take 10
Adam takes a walk around the impressive 79 Land Cruiser created by M2. This is a beast of a vehicle, and no expense has been spared.
This video isn't sponsored. It's just a big thanks to the legends at M2 for graciously lending us one of their fleet vehicles for one of our trips earlier in the year.
If you want to learn more about M2, check out their website here: www.m2overland.co.nz
If you know of anyone located near Hawke's Bay or around the North Island of NZ that has a beast vehicle, please let us know on our socials (below) or email us at media@terra10.nz
If it works out, we'd like to film for a Take 10.

We'd like to give a massive thanks to M2 Overland for sponsoring this episode by gifting us their.... oops we mean lending us to their 79 Landcruiser for this episode. It's a beast. We will have it featured in another episode that is coming soon. Check out M2 Overland here:...

Thanks to everyone who has shared and commented over the past few weeks; it means a lot to the Terra10 team. In this update, Lewis & Adam share an update on what we've been up to and what is coming up over the next few Sundays. We've been busy filming and getting as much as we can into post-production; like you, we still have 9-5 jobs, so we're doing what we can. We love what we do when it come...

What wheel and tyre size did you go with?
what psi do you lower your tyres too and what exact equipment do you have for it
what psi do you lower your tyres to?
I used to go in there with a series 3 Landrover up past # 3 hut and spotlight the flats. Along with dozens of other blokes. Ah, those were the days.
Hi Adam. Roughly what did this mod cost please ? Cheers
that LC driver probably has to be one of the crappiest drivers i've ever watched.
One of my favorite places to go camping. That bog hole almost swallowed my Surf on 33's. But it is fun. I have yet to take my Mitsubishi Delica L400 in there. Maybe sooner now than I expect. Great video, lots of good camera angles. And good on you for taking out someone else's rubbish. If we all do our bit like you, tracks like this will remain open. FYI There is a track to the left of Loch Katrine, but you can only go so far, as the farmer has locked the gate. But still a good drive, and rather scenic in the summer with all the wild lupins in bloom.
haha... that would have been a sight! Be interesting to see how the L400 goes. Thanks for your thoughts. We do try our best with the camera work. We'll deff. look out for the track. Look forward to meeting seeing you out on the tracks!
@@terra10nz yeah I hope to see you out on the tracks too. You can't miss my L400. Matt Black and Grey, with angry eye headlights. .
nice video! that bog at the gate wasnt that deep last time i went there damn🤙
Cheers bro. Yeah, I think people have almost lost their vehicles in there. 😅
I am a total noob and have never ever had a single mod to any vehicle before, so I don't know what to think about this. Now, I'm on all sorts of forums and people are saying that any time you lift 2" or more, you need a drop kit. I'm concerned a suspension and body lift will Risk breaking an axle and or put lots of extra stress on suspension and joints all around.. Upgrade my sway bars? Subframe Drop Kit? Upgrade Bump stops? Body Mount chop? Seems I need a bachelor's degrees in engineering to figure all this out? LOL
Hey Alex, yeah it can blow your mind lol. We know what you mean. Did you get anywhere? Apologies for the delay in replying. We didn't get notifications.
Hi. Are you allowed to drill holes in the A pillar in NZ ?
I guess, many do it for snorkels.
Thanks. There is a lot of varying info circulating. Cheers
What an awesome rig! Cool idea showcasing different builds around the North Island!
Thanks for that. We hope to have some coming soon.
Nice to see you cleaning up the rubbish. Otherwise these places get looked up .
Thank you. Yes that's for sure.
Some pretty epic photography
Thanks!
Ricky Gervais looked a bit nervous driving that new rig . Good video
hahahaha... thanks for that.
The Pajero made it look easy. That’s after all the other cars chewed it out. These cars are extremely underrated, and in terms of reliability I’d put my money on the Pajero 4M41 ahead of all the other cars!
Yup, Pajero is full of surprises. Often leaves us going... well okay, we weren't expecting that. Kinda underrated tbh
3:48 towball death in 3, 2, 1…
I know right. 🤦🏻♂️
Great video. Have you heard if the Packspur Rd is open again yet?
I haven't heard of it, will ask the other guys tho. Have you been?
The porika is in my childhood backyard. Done many many trips over there on old suzuki tc125, ts185, honda cr125, cr250, and 3 wheelers and quads over the years. Camped up there lots too. Still get up there regularly.
You're so lucky to have that close by! Wish we had the same.
Epic adventure on the south island Adam. Nevis, Macetown, Napoleon Hill maybe for next time you come round down south
Thanks for that. Will keep that in mind. So much to explore in the South. It's a great part of NZ.
Awesome setup, next time you're down south let us know as you've missed a number of great trails from springs junction north that our crew would be happy to take you on.
Thanks for that Mark. We've been talking of doing a trip back down south. It's just getting time to get away.
wonder if we were there the same weekend. we camped at the sunflower farm. the weather was bloody horrendous hahahah
haha, yeah I know what you mean. Funny if we were there at the same time. apologies for the very late reply. TH-cam has been weird with the comments notifications.
@@terra10nz it does that, sometimes ive gotten them 3-4 years later
Awesome trip. Let us know when you're going south, and we'll hook you up.
Go the Dmax! The Landy sounded good though.
So good!
Was a cool trip 👌
It was amazing!
Nice vid 👌 She's a big slip!
Yeah I reckon! Take some cleaning up.
New paint job too?
Yeah mate, had it wrapped! So stoked with it.
Excited!
Great vid. Thanks for sharing your Sth Island trip 👌 I did similar when I had jobs in CHC and Blenheim to do, end of November. Drove down instead of flying. Squeezed in Rainbow, Molesworth and Muzzle Staitions. I think I'll try these Maxxis Razr MT's - they look like the perform well!
That's awesome Lyndon. Yeah bro the Razr's are becoming our go-to. Hope to see you out on the tracks!
Lessss gooo
Where to next
The guys are away this weekend. We've got one coming out, maybe tomorrow. Fingers crossed lol
@@terra10nz awesome, keep it up
Thanks mate!
Hi, great videos, my question is what offset are the rims, nobody tells you the offset of the rims, i have a my22 Dmax with an alloy tray, but dont know what offset to choose? Cheers
Hey John, the guys are away on a trip, so we'll talk to Adam when he's back. We know what you mean,, it can be somewhat confusing. If you didn't want to wait for Adam. Give Bay Tyres 4x4 a call and talk to Gibbo or Brad... these guys are dealing with this all the time and have no interest in putting you into something that you'll dislike.
How long did it take to get up? Did you have to come down the same way. Ch
Looks epic! Can’t wait!
Love that track! Was one of my faves when I lived in Wellington. Great video, just subscribed :)
Great video guys. Ive done that track multiple times but in comp trucks and have put a few videos on YT of it. You did bloody well in your dailys 👍🏻
whens the traverse trip coming out?
Did you guys air down at all? Not much movement in those sidewalls.
Loved the vid lads 🔥 going to have to check out Rotoma myself now 👌
I used to get my Toyota Corona down that track , must have got cheered out by all the 4x4 enthusiasts running 33 inch tires !! Hahaha
Toyota Corona? Bro you must have some skills 😂
Have you guys done the Rangitaiki tracks up the naiper toupo rd
yeah we have. We couldn't get all the way through. That some time ago. You been up there?
Could I ask what was the road after Castlepoint and how did you gain access to?
For Sure, the road is called Tinui Valley Road. Leaving from Castle Point it's 20 minutes away and will be on your right. Depending on how far you go, you may have to obtain permission from landowners etc.
Enjoying your work hope there's plenty more to come
Hey Jesse, yeah for sure we've got more to come. :) Thanks for dropping a comment!
Boys, it's absolutely tragic to me to see how excited you guys get over a few 100m of 4wd trails. Shows how deprived you are and it kills me!!! Maybe time to visit Australia and get ya fix for real. Cheers
haha... yeah we hear ya. we love what we do... it will be good practice when hit the east and west coast :)
Looks good 👍👍
Excellent footage Adam. Would be keen to know who else helped putting the video together. Was the whole Terra 10 team involved?
Gidday, It was all me and some cool tech from DJI. Smart tracking makes it look like I've got a whole film crew along for the ride! - Adam
Cool track that one ah! I did it in the opposite direction when i did it. It also is the track that did in the ac evaporator in my dmax. Haha. Did you find the friendly eels under the jettys at the camp site in St Arnaud? The drive through rainbow station takes only a little bit longer than the highway but is way more beautiful.
Thanks for the tip mate. We plan to do a South Island trip with the whole crew some time next year and we're definitely going back there.
