I know this might seem off-topic, but in case if anyone may be wondering, I actually have some questions about some things in mind in case if anyone happens to know the answers to them since this is just something I've been dealing with now for the past several months unfortunately. 1. My e-mail account hasn't been hacked or anything, but a while back I noticed that my e-mail account/address has started receiving various spam e-mails and this has been an ongoing problem for me since this has been happening almost every day for the past several months. What exactly causes this to happen? 2. I might have also accidentally responded to a spam e-mail or two from before even though I didn't mean to do so, and it seems like ever since then, my e-mail account has just been receiving even more spam mail that way. What exactly causes that to happen too and why? 3. Is there also some possible way to completely stop the spam mail altogether or not? I've been reporting the e-mails, deleting them, blocking them, and even blocking the e-mail addresses and domains where the e-mails have been coming from, but it seems like no matter what I've been trying to do, nothing seems to be stopping it so far and I sometimes even receive some spam e-mails somehow from certain senders even though I already have their e-mail addresses blocked although they shouldn't be going through to me if I already have them blocked. I just thought of asking these questions though in case if anyone knows the answers to them and I know this is kind of off-topic and all, but this is just something that I've been having to deal with now for quite some time and it's just really aggravating too although I wish it would somehow stop. I just want to know why and how this sort of thing happens, and also if there's a way to possibly stop it somehow.

Lol, I used to kind of thought it mattered. BUT, at 50 (never married, no kids), I met a 25 year old. She initially thought I might be gay. Well mannered, and never hit on her like everyone else did. She felt comfortable, we became friends. At 55/29 we were married and celebrated 6th annv last month. And yes, I was about 2 years older than her dad. Not perfect, but very functional. Some generational issues, but a lot fewer than I would have suspected, in large part to her having very old school ideals.

It is an issue. And a case by case basis. My late wife was 16 years younger than me. We were together for 10 years. I'm sure when she told her parents my age they were taken aback. But she always had fun having people guess my age when we were carded, etc. What the social norm is for society as a whole is much less important than how accepting family and friends are. They family and friends know each of you best and they will be honest as well. BTW, we were introduced my a mutual friend.

On paper, I would say it's weird for someone below 23-25 age range because that person's brain is still developing. In practice, I met someone in a time where she and I were in the same time in our lives. We were both freshman in the same college. The difference was she was 18 and fresh out of high school. I was 27 and was fresh out of serving 6 years in the military (starting using the GI Bill). We hit it off very quickly. How do we get buy-in from friends/family/society? 2 reasons, 1) I looked very young for my age so we looked very normal together. 2) I immediately met with her folks and didn't hide from who I am and why I wanted a relationship with their daughter. They loved my honesty and respected me for that. They quickly fell in love with me and wanted me in their family. Does this have a happy ending? Nope, after 18 months we broke it off since our priorities changes over time. But the parents hated having me leave the family. But that's life.
