First video so please be kind 😇 still learning so let's see what we discover!
Just recently found your channel. Looking forward to catching up on the videos. Some great content and finds Sean! :D
Love the video lads, sounds lke you have been doing this for as long as I have, but have found a better tip than I have so far, the search continues!
Nice work. I enjoyed the dig
Hi Sean I enjoy your videos. Love your Poison bottle finds. The Jar you found with newspaper in it, may have been used to hold a candle long ago. Newspaper stuffed into jars and candles placed in. No Health and Safety then !
I never thought of that, I did wonder why the newspaper had a whole in it whilst in the jar. Thanks 🙂
Again some lovely finds there, I would love to find a bottle dump in my local area, i just want a few stumpy bottle/ Jars for some reed diffusers. So i only want to find a few. So wouldn't take me long. 😂 But enjoyed the video again, well done.
You've found some great bottles. Love the blue and green poison bottles the most. Well done, keep on digging.😊
Did you find out what the tricycle/drill thing was?
You need a fork
Get yourself some secateurs, they might help in removing those annoying smaller roots . Also a three pronged Scratcher tool will speed up extraction of bottles . Using a spade or fork always gives a risk of cracking or smashing bottles . Even though your not using a fork . People that go at it hard in bottle dumps with those , give me a heart attack every time they stab the ash Another Hobnail Lysol , great find . 😂 OMG I been digging my 1932 tip years and never seen a Glimmer of a Codd . They supposed to have them until the 20's / 30 but rarely seen in later tips . Unnless it's a late throwaway , but the kids still smashed it anyway 😥 Always great to find a nice Biig Bovril Jar . The 16oZ is a great find . Bovrils are great for dating tips . Your looking at V Early 30's That is a very big Amber Lysol indeed . The full embossing and crosshatch . Sometimes the have Marshall on them , great score ! Danger ! Poisionous Perfume 😆 never seen one that small before And another lovely two colour glazed jar . I only have one it 1890's and has a hairline crack in it . That could be older for sure .
Thats a nice little Triangular cobalt blue poision that . Not seen one of those before 👍🏻 And another big Hexagonal Green , you really have found a nice poision bottle rich tip there . These things are Supposed to be rare 😂 I found one of those Nothing too good for me dolls bowl at Mitcham Dump , has a Illumifarty eye in the middle inside / 👁 \ Nice Armour Laboratories amber bottle , lovely embossing . I have a couple from my local Early 30's tip One of my earliest finds at my local bottle tip was that same bably bottle feeder . Mine was complete . Some years later I found another much uglier one that was smashed . That kind of bottle feeder with rubber hoses was phased out in the end , as babies were dying of Bacterial infections as it was so hard to keep the bottles clean . Lovely lil Cream pot thaat ! Great colour
Your little poison shaped like a perfume is an iodine bottle, come in all colours
Lovely lil y Trinket that with the Boy and Dog . No doubt looks a charm cleaned up . I temember my Local bottle dump I found a Father Christmas cake topper , he was pre 1932 . I repainted him . Yates Brothers and Co bottle nice find . You want to be careful with those old wide mouth Milk Bottles . Saying their plain . Some are acid etched , others from the 1920's to 30's were also painted . But even if theres no paint . When they are clean , you can still see where the letters were painted . It's a bit like a very light etch where the letters were . Purple liquid in a Bottle . Methylated Spirits . Imagine if that was raw Meths . Hopefuly it was just watered down but retained the colour 😂
Lovely Milk bottle that . Great find . So the Newspaper dates the tip , or the average age . But I think you have bottles that go back into the 20's
Great finds indeed . Very lucky with the pousions , bubbly bottles , ink pourers , jar and that Embossed mineral water . Think your looking at 1920's
Great colors on the bottles. Cobalt fantastic, olivish green? Super. Where from? I missed where you are at. I'm in USA and bottles are different here. Love it, thanks!!😊😊❤
Applied top it looks.❤
I’ve got the same Gordon’s bottle and a hip flask size version too 👍🏻
Great collection of bottles, glad to see them all cleaned up at the end.
Thanks 🙂
Brown bottle with the metal top - most probably a hair tonic.
The bottles with the funny tops are Caster Set bottles- they would have sat in a fancy holder along with shaker bottles and a mustard pot - they held condiments on a dining table or sideboard
Thanks for the info - I couldn't find what it was for the life of me! 👍
nice stoneware ink, love a colbot blue bottle of any kind, love finding dominoes.shame about the bowl ,but some lovely bottles
😆 Frickin mosquitoes!!! I hate them. So many cool finds! I’m guessing the lilac liquid is methylated spirits but it looks really pretty 😅
Ooh! I have the same flower shaped vent! It’s from an old oven🤓 Great first video!
Home made bug spray.. essential oils. Or burn coffee grounds. Of vanilla extract & water in a spray bottle!

That’s a wicked dig site you don’t seem to get many duplicates as I get many of the same where I dig . Nice buddy 👍🏻
Like your videos mate keep up the good work 💪🏻
Thanks dude, right back at you! 👌
great finds buddy whats your cleaning tips , do you use any chemicals ?
Thanks mate. No chemicals, just a long soak for a few days in soapy water & then shake em' up with grit 👍
Hi Sean great vid. That little brown bottle with the screw cap towards the end probably said Gilby, Famous distillers of gin. All the best.
In Australia 🇦🇺 it’s always hard ground 😂we don’t get the rain ☔️ like the uk ,if I can dig a bottle or three I go home lol 😂 it’s rock solid and wrist jarring on the fork 🎉
Maybe my question will get answered in the video. I'm only at the beginning, but my first thought was how do you know where to dig for the bottles? Do you just find a spot and start digging or do you have to do a little research first?
These are old bottle dumps, which are fairly common around the country & easy to spot if you look for the signs or consult old maps. Once you've found one, it's just a matter of figuring out where the site starts and ends 🙂
Just a swift one to say keep going! I also enjoyed hunting bottles in my youth and the nicer ones i always flogged at carboots for £1-5 the blue ones were peoples favourites.
Nice finds Sean ! Big holes to fill ! 👍👍
Fancy running into you here lol
The coin is French,Napoleon 111,1800's
This one had me stumped, so that's a nice surprise. Thanks for the info 😊
The poison/perfume bottle probably was for iodine.
It wasn't for tooth powder, it was a powdered mouthwash
Milk jar have embossed called QS, that person in past have name in Q.S as full name. That why the women would fight over make up is there’s. That why name on stuff to let other know who’s stuff. 😊
Are you pulling my leg? 😂 In any case, that's a better explanation than mine
@@DiscoverWithSean haha. Yes because women always fight over their stuff like not want steal or took as think its their. So that why name on it so let anyone know who’s owner that. That old history. But your funny. Yeah you need to more research find why name on stuff or some of embossed on glass because of which type belong to doctor or bar, or medicine store that people buy and use for save people get sick come from. That why lot of them died because of some medicine not help. So that why people need to say thank you to technology that help improved save people get sick from sick. History always changed but people is not changed. But people are wise to find way to solved by that help medicine plants that god giving to people than use chemical products medicine, you know all the stories. Sorry make bit long comment. 🙂😁
Good Job, enjoyed this video thanks
Good to hear, thanks! 👍
Hopefully you found the rest of the jug!!!!
Those boots are in cracking condition!
Those are ventilation holes 😉😂
