竹中直人の声が荒川というキャラクターと凄く合っていて、ワクワクするほどでした。今も気晴らしにと、このシーンだけは繰り返し観ています。それくらい素晴らしい。

Not a single shot was fired yet it remains an intense hair raising sequence in the whole movie and conveys a sense of helplessness
This is such a brilliant scene, amps the suspense and tension to the maximum, yet nothing actually happens. Just a little incident to build the paranoia, fear and confusion. Kazunori Ito wrote the whole screenplay and man did he think it all out, such a great plot.

I think it’s just a radar sound. Or trying to replicate it. Just google faint radar noise or something like that I think.. it’s really brilliant and used so well in this song I’ve got to say!

@@papamike88 I've been watching some audio engineering videos over the past month and it never ceases to amaze me how often every day assets get used as instruments. They just get reworked in post and boom, you have an amazing sound.

This (remastered/expanded) cd is 2355773984 times better than the original one released in 1993 with the dog on the Patlabor...If u only have that one i feel sorry for you..

The 2002 version the best (remastered) version available. The wyvern track on the 93 original cd (with the dog on top of the patlabor) is inferior quality.
The older one is definently more intense and I prefer it. However, this new one fits the movie better.
